Must have missed the bit where he unilaterally decided what it would be and the EU just accepted it. As it happens it's not great, but it's not bad. Nothing to stop both parties working on improvements as the years go by. Which will be easier if successive governments grasp whatever opportunities it affords and make the best use of it for the benefit of the nation. So you agree we should work with the EU to fine tune the detail ? Rather than ripping up the bits we do like and telling the EU to suck it up ? Frost and Boris attempted to salvage what they could from the deal in order to complete within the timescales in place. The Irish Protocol was always going to be a problem which is why both sides agreed to further negotiations in good faith, something which we now know is impossible for a corrupt and deceitful EU. We’re out, we’re never going back so swallow it. They set the timescale and could easily have extended the deadline to get it sorted but refused. Then they claimed it was a great deal. You are Rewriting history with complete bollocks🤓 Edited May 10, 2022 by Farrelli

The EU are corrupt and deceitful whereas Boris and his mates have proven to be such paragons of virtue. It is still everyone else's fault Indeed. Brexit was completely the brainchild of Tories, the leave campaign was full of lies so they achieved the desired outcome and it was then delivered by the most untrustworthy charlatan ever to be PM. Now they want to blame Theresa May. Laughable. Own it boys🇬🇧

Traf
Probably mentioned elsewhere already, so sorry if I'm repeating someone's point, but... Today a priceless gold hat with a 317-carat diamond and 400 other jewels was driven in a custom-made Rolls Royce to a £2.5 billion palace, where it was placed next to a gold chair in which sat one of the world's richest men, who told 2 million hungry Britons there's no money. A tad out of touch?

May and Robbins never even attempted a true Brexit, just as much of a deal as they could swing but keeping as close to the EU as they could. Right from the outset they let the EU set and run the agenda. That’s not a negotiation, it’s a capitulation and that’s what got us into the mess we’re in now. Don’t forget their answer to Ireland was the backstop which would have been even worse than the protocol which at least allowed for further negotiations to take place. Boris had to get Brexit done as promised and yes he did take a flier on being able to renegotiate parts later but that’s what happens with all agreements as they develop. Sadly the EU will not negotiate in good faith continuing to punish the UK for leaving and dissuade others from considering likewise. Despite the initial pain we should have gone with no deal but we are where we are and if the only path now is unilateral action then so be it.
