Not really. It's a kiss on the cheek from Don Corleone. Dead man walking.

Wouldn't you say there's probably more MPs on both sides of the House towing the line? In most cases morals only come in to the equation if it increases the individuas character with their constituents. Whips will tolerate this to a point.

We have a PM without integrity or morals, that is the key thing here.  Many Tory MPs are finally realising the damage it is doing to their party and the country. The games over

May survived a Confidence Vote, but was gone within 6 months.

Exactly.

Even if he survives he's a dead man walking.

she resigned though didn't she?

Johnson won't

If anywhere around 100 or more Tory MPs vote against him it will be quite damning and he will be a goner.

He won't have much choice.

There's something almost heroic about Nadine's displays of stupidity 🥴

I've never argued otherwise.

As for your second sentence. Balderdash! They are more worried about their seat than anything else.

That will be proven wrong in a few hours when he wins the Confidence Vote.

Jacob Grease Smug says that even a win by 1 vote is complete vindication that Johnson is the man.

When May won her vote by a narrow margin he said the exact opposite.

They're fucking bulbs.

Rees-Mogg seriously needs putting back in his box, and shipping back to Transylvania. A proper caricature. It's absolutely unbelievable that we elect these pantomime Victorian villains. Doubt I'll ever get my head round it.

Losing their seat and damage to the party are more a less the same things, one leads to the other. Enough of them are realising that the games up for Bozo.

agreed

He'll survive tonight, but if they lose these two upcoming bi-elections, then he'll be toast

They said That about

The Local ones in May

If he stays

We could be looking at Another £400 of Gas Bills

Exactly. They somehow managed to spin a ~500 seat loss into a positive result. And everyone lapped it up and forgot about within a week.

I wonder if the Labour Party front bench privately does too?

Fun watch  :D

There is an interesting story about Ree-Mogg though really just following through on his father's work in the Sovereign Individual. In that this is all part of the transition to our great economic resent and it is the indovudal that shall deterim success or failure and that we donb't know the true implications of digital globalisation yet but the state will not survive it.

Or something.

More or less. But self-preservation will out-trump everything else.

I still think the majority of Tories are just kicking up a stink just so it looks good back home. Everyone wants re-electing.
