More or less. But self-preservation will out-trump everything else.

I still think the majority of Tories are just kicking up a stink just so it looks good back home. Everyone wants re-electing.

Sometimes you just have to do what’s right, it’s time for him to go.

I can't disagree. But I would say you have to do what's right everytime and not just sometimes.

Aye but we are talking about Tory MPs so I’ll accept sometimes

Its not exclusively the Tories. But they are the ones in the big chair so its a convenient stick for some.

Correct, but I’ve never seen anything even close to this lot & that starts from the leader.

When we will find out the result?

she resigned though didn't she?

Johnson won't

She resigned because the 1922 Committee said they'd change the rules to force her out if she didn't leave.

I can just about forgive MPs who have said / done nothing up until now. But to actually vote and support him tonight…

Following a wipe out at the European elections.

Just read an open letter by my Tory MP explaining why he's voting for the Government in the confidence vote tonight.

He has his reason, which he explained. But does this make his decision right? Is he doing as he's told? Is he honourable?

For me he's hedged his bets with his explanation.

Which Tory MP? Can't you post the letter? Why are you being so coy about it? Voting "for the Government"? Does that mean he's voting FOR Johnson or AGAINST?

Edited by Cheese

It's a private ballot so it won't be an accurate measure, but 151 MPs have been willing to publicly back him so far.

My MP has tweeted to say that the PM has his full support. I have emailed to say that if he votes for Boris tonight then he will never get my vote.

His words not mine.

And yes, I could have posted the letter but I knew it would wind you up so I didn't.

I'm local so look up who the MP is. There isn't many of them.

Local.

Worth bearing in mind.

I don't think they are hard-core Tories. They are Johnson supporters and that is something very different.

I don't even think Johnson is a Tory.

Johnson is a cult.

”he upsets the bedwetters” and therefore everything he does is forgivable.

The thick cunt accidentally said it out loud. It's all about the Tory Donors.
