You missed out weapons of mass destruction. Let's not leave out Bliars greatest achievement eh?

We had to follow America though didnt we?

We would have done the same under a Tory Government.

It was voted for and passed by the way.

So Hancock has bits of his book in the papers. The Hancock diaries.

From the first couple it is clearly not a diary it is written afterwards and seems to be basically him looking back and justifying mistakes by blaming others for not being as on the ball as him or giving a twisted version of the truth the man is a complete and utter fucking scumbag.

If there is an enquiry over covid, it’ll be interesting to read the report on the part he played, don’t think he will come out of it well.

He ate testes in a jungle though, so it’s all forgotten.

I remember, the years of Brown/Blair at the helm were a complete disaster weren't they!?

A functioning police force, health service and education. Who wants that anyway, eh?

Blair inherited a thriving, prosperous economy from the Tory’s and Major. What did they leave? No gold, no limit on Eastern European immigration, robbed pensions of tax relief (including yours) and oh, nearly forgot, no money and the credit crunch. Just like EVERY Labour government in history left the economy in tatters. Like I said, even a shit show Tory government like this one is preferable to a Labour one. Anyway, you’ll probably now get to find out the hard way after the next election and you fuckin deserve it.

Indeed. Parliament voted to go into Iraq, only the Lib Dem’s opposed it.

“Unlike his predecessors as Labour prime minister, Tony Blair arrived in power with the economy in good shape. Ramsay Macdonald, Attlee, Wilson and Callaghan were all greeted with a crisis; Blair came to power with the economy growing, unemployment falling and the pound strong.”

Yep. Managed to find a 4G signal even in the Forest of Bowland. My input will be limited to evenings only though. Better things to do during the day. 👍

No.

Pure conjecture.

Yes, he had the numbers.

Only one person can be credited that utter shambles. Mr, Bliar.

Not a chance Hague or Howard would have missed a photo op to sit on top of a challenger.

Are you serious? The country was still struggling to recover from the economic disaster of the Thatcher and Major years including Black Wednesday, 15% inflation and the wholesale sell off of national assets and resources before Blair took over in 1997.

During Blair's 10 years in office there were 40 successive quarters of economic growth, lasting until the second quarter of 2008 (he left office in 2007) The period saw one of the highest GDP growth rates of any developed economy and the strongest of any European nation.

What are you smoking amigo?

Lets not forget we lost lives defending an Island full of puffins a few years earlier.

Genuine question, what were your thoughts at the time?

These were the Major years from 1992 to 1997. the growth figure for 1997 was never beaten until last year. 5 years of stability and growth. That’s what WS63 was talking about.

Where my lad was going to move to when his apprenticeship had completed and how, after losing to Liverpool, we stuffed Sunderland, Tottenham and Man City with Jay Jay to the fore.
