Keir Starmer just gets on with it so well done again👍 If this helps agricultural trade it will be good for our farmers. There has to be some compromise and unfortunately it will probably be the fishing industry suffering again.

What is so bad for the fishing industry ? The deal has been extended by 12 years but other than that it is the same is nt it ? Is there more to it ? I se comments that is continuing the treatment caused by original agreement but nothing that says why this is worse.

The reduced paperwork should help (although imports will also be easier) . I read earlier that fish exports have dropped by 29% in recent years and that of our quota 50% is actually delivered by foreign boats under some type of licence. ( I might need to think about I read on tinternet)

Getting Shit Done

put that on your fucking lecterns , lads.

If Farage doesn't like it then it is more than likely a good deal. He thought Liz Truss' budget was the best for over 20 years FFS.

It is an extension of the existing deal when they may have expected something better. However, no complaints from me.

The UK and EU have also reached a new twelve year agreement that protects Britain’s fishing access, fishing rights and fishing areas with no increase in the amount of fish EU vessels can catch in British waters, providing stability and certainty for the sector. The UK will also back coastal communities by investing £360 million into our fishing industry to go towards new technology and equipment to modernise the fleet, training to help upskill the workforce, and funding to help revitalise coastal communities, support tourism and boost seafood exports. The British fleet will also benefit from the SPS agreement which slashes costs and red tape to help exports.

I think you'll find it's spelt 'sovrentree'

There’s some baffled fatties over on Twitter.

They are moaning that Brexit allowed us to negotiate our own deals, without actually realising that’s exactly what just happened.

Starmer has used Brexit to fuck Brexit.

Theres a poetic beauty to it.

I have read some absolutely unhinged shite on social media today. People who have absolutely no idea about economics or politics are suddenly experts in both. They are also the type to suddenly support fishermen yet were strangely mute when Boris made the deal Starmer has just extended and improved upon.

They moaned about the India deal. They moaned about the US deal. Now they're moaning about an EU deal. Who the fuck do the gammons want us to do deals with?

But, not all of it

Nobody.

We need to be self sufficient.

Aye like that's ever going to happen or is actually preferred?

No doubt a lot of them do think that. And a lot probably think any trade deals we do should be advantageous for us, but detrimental to the country we make them with, because "We hold all the cards". They're fucking puddled.

You can probably blame trump for that

The fact is there are tons of folk out there who still think because we used to rule a vast empire well over 60 years ago we somehow deserve more respect.

They just can't seem to move on and still live in the past.

If you are convinced ‘we hold all the cards’ you are always going to be disappointed if that is not reflected in the actual deals we can do, unless Nigel does the deal of course.

The India deal was probably a ‘Brexit Benefit’ but Nigel wants to keep immigration at the issue so rather than celebrate the benefit he focussed on the non story about NI exemptions.

Boris reared his scruffy head today saying that although he did exactly the same deal on fishing the next one he was going to do was going to be even better, with no explanation if what that meant and what he would give in return.

Labour have disappointed in some areas since they got elected but if we had done trade deals with India, US and EU in a week under the Tories the usual suspects would cheering.

A massive proportion of the British public are simply fucking thick.

In fairness

Starmer is simply doing what he said he would.

I still think the bloke is dead dull. And I couldn’t give a fuck.

He’ll not get everything right, but at least he’s getting stuff done. Rather than jogging around country lanes dressed like a womble getting everything he touches pregnant.

g’wan lad

Fucking Farage?
Wants to run the country. I wouldn't trust him to run a bath.

Absolute fucking grifter.
