Would you move back to the UK if Reform were in power?

Serious question.

Would be hard to leave kids and grandkids behind - especially persuading the missus to do so but seriously tempted. Bradshaw seems very inviting - especially whilst the weather is like it currently is!

Plenty of walks around the Jumbles, watching t'Whites, pints in t'No Name, proper chippies and a patriotic government at last 😉

Probably an impossible dream but one never doth know.

You should have a look through his back catalogue. Some outstanding insight....... 😁

What's he actually talking about though

He says the same things like they mean something

When we get this country back

Looking over your shoulder 24/7

Reminds me of Bolty

The usual shite.

He's peddling a party called The UK Constitution Party or something? And basically threatening everyone who disagreed with him that they will be first up against the wall come the revolution.

He posts on one of those paedo hunter groups on Facebook. So it's my own fault for following a page about vigilantes, but I find it compulsive viewing! 😁

Why anything should make you think of me is beyond me.

I don't know whether to be flattered or flummoxed.

So, it appears Yvette Cooper is about to close the door on migrant care workers.

Proof of the pudding I suppose, but it could be good for the future of the industry, if its backed up with positive changes to training, pay etc.

Make it a respected career option, in the same way as nursing.

If its not handled properly, that could be a monumental fuck up. And no way, unless they go to about £20/£25 an hour, are Brits going to go into that industry....

It just smacks to me of them saying something to try and win back some Reform voters/votes.

Was thinking the same. We need all the help we can get in that sector ffs.

There's a reason the job vacancies are there in the first place.

It’s a ridiculous proposition when they have 100k vacancies already in this sector. I cannot believe Labour are putting this forward. Long term we should aim for being self sufficient but we are miles away and they need all the help they can get.

Step mum was invited over from the Philipines in about 2005 to work "in the NHS", she's a qualified midwife over there but would have to obtain additional qualifications to do that role over here. Transpires that a Healthcare assistant over here is still on much more than a midwife over there with much less stress..

Now she's married with 2 kids and no reason to leave, but vast majority of the staff where she works are immigrants.  That said, lots of kids leaving school and being enticed into HCA roles which seem to be starting now at about 14phr

It is ridiculous, it's to appeal to simpletons. I'm not sure anybody with half a brain actually thinks it's a good idea.

There are millions who think it mate. There are enough on this forum.

Starmer cracking down on immigration.

He’ll be releasing Tommy Robinson by lunch time.

Absolute mess left by the last lot. They lost total control of our borders & left us with a 700,000 plus net migration. You don’t recover from that overnight, could take a decade at least.

We have to become more self sufficient. But it’s a fine balance, if Labour come down hard on struggling sectors but do nothing to reduce illegal immigration, then they’ll likely be voted out. They won’t achieve everything they promised, but if reductions are seen & we’re moving in the right direction then folk will trust them to carry on.

I think it's the hairdo mate 😁

Likely the case. I told Zico in Madrid he could change his hairstyle quite easily.

Of course. You can see how they are slowly changing to try to reflect the views of the real influencers.

A look around Europe very quickly indicates the direction of travel. Not across the Channel for a start.
