Some Brexiteers maybe. That is bizarre unless of course this particular trade deal is akin to partial re-entry into the bungling bureaucracy.

Whatever, Nigel will sort it when the time comes.

More of this please. Much better.

Also not a huge fan of Starmer/Labour, but at least they’re getting stuff done which will help the economy & jobs.  Tories are in the wilderness for years so only hope to stop Farage doing a Trump and wrecking the country is for Labour to succeed and better communicate those successes. If they can only sort immigration out now and show people it’s sorted then “our Nige” will thankfully become irrelevant.

Starmer has used Brexit against itself and the gammons don’t know what day it is.

Stop the boats and they've cracked it.

I'm not sure you'll ever stop them completely, but a better working relationship with Europe has to help.

Shouldn't be the only thing, but it's a major thing. The tories handling of the situation and brexit had led to this mess.

Like traf says we either get better with the EU and get ourselves back at the top debating table or it carries on going west, and we end up with Reform in and the madness of net zero.

I know you struggle to read articles that you have already decided what they say but this deal is the opposite of what you mention above, those woke leftists at the British Chamber of Commerce are happy as you would know if you read the article.

Shevaun Haviland, director general of the BCC, said: "Today's summit marks a turning point in UK/EU relations which puts our trade relationship at the forefront of our partnership going forward."

Economy, NHS and Immigration.

The thickos won't be doing any "judging". They've already made up their minds, and no amount of evidence to the contrary will budge them.

:D More please - and if you can increase the volume and the reach of your ridicule it would be most helpful. Thanks in advance.

Nigel did not attend Parliament today to discuss the deal.

Just seen he was on the fisheries committee in Brussels. Went to one meeting. Missed 41. Then pretends he gives a shit about the fishing industry.

Of course. He's a grifter and the fact folk I thought were bright if not intelligent, cannot see straight though him amazes me.

Have a friend who runs a fifth generation family wholesale fish business, which was out of Plymouth fish market until it closed last year due to Brexit induced export restrictions. Not happy with the opening of UK waters but reckons UK fleets would have been dead in years with way it was going

It's a rollover of the deal Boris made 5 years ago. But now with better export opportunities especially for shellfish which they eat a lot more of on the continent than we do here.

Not ideal but better than before.
