Saw that. Seemed a reasonable question. (asked many times) As we discussed this the other day, they now need to build 345,000 homes a year to meet their target. It ain’t and never was going to happen. It’s called gaslighting.

Bizzarely he tried to defend himself by saying why would he know the numbers. 🤦🏻 does he know what his job title is?

I'm not sure taking a St George's beach towel and a trifle into work smacks of integrating well.

Mind you, he is terribly racist towards the indigenous Australians to ensure he fits in well with his fellow white mmigrants.

Add to this the fact that energy prices are £152 higher since they took over. ( based on the energy price cap)

That means that prices need to now come down by £452 to meet their promise to reduce energy costs by £300. It ain’t and never was going to happen. It’s called gaslighting.

You never complained about Tory gaslighting.

You’ll be voting Labour at this rate.

Just wait until the budget comes. I'll be interested to see what they do with VAT despite their promise not to touch it. One thing for sure, when the Spirit Of Ecstasy stands up in Parliament on that day in November, you will be stung and not in a small way. Her black hole needs filling one way or another.

Let’s run through Reeves options, and the likely reactions on here from her detractors:

Increases VAT: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

Leaves VAT alone: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

Lowers VAT: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

Increases income tax: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

Leaves income tax alone: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

Lowers income tax: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

Raids pensions: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

leaves pensions alone: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

lowers corporation tax: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

leaves corporation tax alone: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

increases corporation tax: “boooooo doesn’t know what she’s doing”

I hope you get the picture.

Truth is, she could send every detractor a skipful of cash and an army of strippers and they’d still find a way to hate her.

So she might as well fuck them hard since she can’t win either way. I would.

Tories stacked up the debts.

It’s time to pay them back.

Sensible, painful governance.

So after 14 years the toerags left a £20 million black hole, in just over 12 months it has risen to a £30 million black hole, whose debts are the further £10 million

Those debts didn’t stop accruing interest the day after the election.

Theyre Britain’s debts, not Labours.

”we’ve got a new government so we don’t actually owe you any money, so fuck off”

Would be nice, but not actually a thing in the real world.

A million seconds is 11 days. A billion seconds is 32 years.

To be honest, I think we need to start asking what Reform would do about the economy since they'll likely be the next government.

I'm not a reform voter, nor ever likely to be, so I guess it's best to throw this question over to Boby and Bolty, who have said they will be Reform voters.

So - what would reform do that's better than Labour?

thanks in advance lads.

Keir Starmer is right now. A modern day sinking Titanic.

If it's too much maybe he can get back on Putin's payroll.

Rather than the self-imposed arbitrary constraints, which she already changed last October, the Labour party should be bold and get rid of them altogether. Better the budget features a short statement of how government plans will affect the economy

The full editorial is here, interesting read:

In response to the earlier question posed by Spider about alternatives, this editorial is based on what the Institute of Fisal Sudies have saying for several months... trouble for Blair and Brown, whoops... Sarmer and Reeves it will now be political suicide to change from their initial (eletion headline grabbing) tack... Austerity is what we're left with, but at least they'll save their respective faces.
