Yeah I think they've had a surge in registrations recently. So they will have some decent money to fight the next GE.

I might seem farfetched now but it wouldn't surprise me if the Tory party manoeuvres itself into the alternative by the time of the next election

It would obviously require a change of leadership first

Suella or Priti, if they want to lurch further right, in order to align with Farage

I think Labour are dead and buried with KS in charge, sadly.

Which is a shame because he's not worth anywhere near the vitriol and bile that's been spewed at him.

Barring a miracle turnaround - I'm expecting Andy Burnham to be in charge at the next general election. Especially if there's a bloodbath in the polls in the local elections. Which seems extremely likely.

A possibility although my mate Nige might think he doesn't need it. He could reach where he needs to be simply by osmosis.

A unification of the right leaning vote would certainly sit well with me. It would be daylight second.

Or Labour Lib Dem of course. I could absolutely see that happening!

Absolutely. In this case it would result in all of the imbeciles in one place a one time. Always desirable.

Don't be deterred with far fetched matey. They laughed at me years ago when I said I would be voting Reform if still living there. How far fetched does Reform becoming the next government seem now?

I don't see the Tories being able to pull this off however. The relatively 'under the radar' head down, arse up work going on in building the necessary machine required for Reform to succeed is becoming a runaway juggernaut.

Yes, he will keep having to be drawn out here and there to satiate the thirsts of the likes of Kuenssberg and others looking to sensationalise but the quiet building is the way to go.

More strength to him.

If they change again, they're toast.

Whether or not she's done the right thing, she is effectively copying what Starmer did.

Just sit back and let the government make their mistakes, and have a pop.

OK, she needs to improve at PMQs, but that's not the be all and end all.

There is plenty of time left yet, and they seem to be heading into more positive territory with the toughening stance on migration.

Reckon they need to go further, but I reckon taking their time and putting more detailed plans together is better than fire fighting and sound bites.

Really does amaze me this. To be as weak as piss as he is with a so called landslide majority from one third of the electorate is mind boggling.

His missus must decide what clothes he will wear every day. Otherwise he'd U turn himself into a state of near vertigo.

Would they have done this without the Farage influence? Of course not.

Laughable how they have suddenly latched on to the 'out of the ECHR' imperative.

Their problem as I see it is a lack of bold leadership... KS is the posh lawyer who comes into meetings at £300 per hour plus exes to advise on the legal situation, RR is the accounts lady who advises on cash flow and does the VAT return and so on.

None of them can take the lead and say "OK I get your point and I can see the risks but this is what we're going to do"... that is called leadership.

Probably.

That said, we couldn't carry on as we have been doing, so I suppose it is possible that they would have filled the void- though a more hawkish leader may have been needed from the off.

Either that, or another party (like reform) may have come along.

Nah... he'll have a bar chart on the wall with pins and bits of string in it... 7am Shit, 7-15  cocoa pops and soo on

Is it still a limited company with no actual democratic structures built in?

In some instances, he is hamstrung by his own backbenchers.

He could have withdrawn the whip from some more I suppose, but that may well have hastened the problems he has now.

He is also in the same situation as the previous government, in having to satisfy different wings of his own party.

His best thing would've been to ignore the Muslim vote- he's losing that anyway- and gone back to his core vote.

That would mean policies they want to see, which seem to go against his own ideals.

In the end, they're falling between several stools.

No, not any more.

Fairly sure he said some time ago that the party would move away from a company to a political party, and iirc he has changed the "ownership" situation.

Can't say exactly what to though.

As for the domocratic side of things, there have been major changes; with membership electing senior officials, and regional candidates.

Clear structural changes, but opponents are still using that angle to have a pop.

Not sticking though.

When they came into power they didn't stop electioneering and effectively talked down the economy.

Then came RR's budget where she was relying on growth (already talked down) to satisfy her self imposed rules... what did she do? Raised ENI thereby further suppressing the growth required for her rules to work... if she came out and raised NI  by a couple of pennies to finance Care and Hospices (as Johnson did) she would have got away with it.

KS should have acted and dismissed her for showing such poor judgement.

Next budget will be a killer if you are a pensioner, farmer or house owner, I'm two of these and am seriously concerned I'm going to get fucked over just so this lot can save face.

During the election a common comment was what does Starmer actually stand for? He's been PM for over a year and I still have no effing idea!

Under their new structure, the party is now controlled by a new company called.........Reform 2025 Ltd. It is though officially a “non-profit" entity, with no shareholders, limited by guarantee. So Farage and Tice are no longer able to just take all the money 🙂 (I think)

Aye. Just checked companies house. Still a limited company with Farage still a director.

Fucking charlatan.

Not too sure about that one...

Labour have a Mayor in Manchester, Conservatives have Teeside ... both doing their job, Reform have Jenkins in Lincolnshire who struts around in sequins singing pathetic songs...

Time mate, it takes time. Edwin was right.
