Reeves is another...

Earns 150k as Chancellor, married to a government civil servant (who was until recently advising the treasury) who earns 175k. Both have moved into 11, Downing Street and now rent their London properties out for 75k. Also declares donations from Lord Sainsbury to assist her in her work, all on top of the gifts from party backers.

There'll be more if you take time to dig around.

They're all champagne socialists with their noses in the troughs, at least with the Tories you knew they were wealthy upper class bastards 😐

You heard here first folks...

Farage was a 'traditional Tory' the other day.

Now he's a radical?

Maybe could be on the other thread

But I see he's in a bit of bother today after accusing some of the victims of grooming gangs of not being victims of grooming after all.

Visionary. Eyes wide open.

They have always been, are and will always be fucking hypocrites. 'Brothers.....' just fuck off.

As Spider likes to say "I can't wait for them to get what they voted for". In my case, waiting to see the burgeoning taxes Rachel and her boss have planned for you all in November.

They need a right good terror attack just before the GE.

There’s an attack every week by an illegal immigrant and that plays right into Reforms hands. They’ve never had a better chance, and the alternative parties are so weak. Mind you I saw Ed Daveys reply to Farage yesterday and it was a very impressive response. Never thought I’d say that about a liberal leader.

Don't forget the "Homelessness Minister" Rushanara Ali who also had to resign over no-fault evictions!

Agree if there was a GE tomorrow they'd have chance at least of a hung jobby.

Think they're peaking too early though and reckon Labour will have started to make some headway on things by the time it comes round.

This Labour party are making sure there won’t be a Labour Party government for decades after this one. Dead in the water!

Yep decimated their support on the left by attempting to cozy up to Reform supporters. Whilst doing nothing concrete to fix the issues left by the Tories that got reform its popularity in the first place.

I think we will see way more than that.

It's a powder keg.

You cannot pour thousands of people a week in to another set of people's land and not expect trouble or differences.

Happens in every single walk of life.

It's a bit like climate change.

Cultural shifts and natural migration Happens. It has done since life began.

Speed it up and you've got major problems.

so what you thinking - running battles, lynchings, lots of death via twattings?

is this an anti immigration thing or anti muslim - or are the two merging into one?

am wondering where all the non muslim immigrants fit into all this, like albanians, vietnamese etc

be good if gypos were on the receiving end of whatever is coming

There's time yet My friend.

Small poll obviously but they've still got the vote in here which is surprising.

You know what it will be though, those Slazenger vest wearing Brit Type patriots smashing a few things up. Reality is if those types turn up in your Boltons, Bradford’s, Tower hamlets (as seen at the weekend) they will be massively outnumbered and embarrass themselves even more. As sad as it may sound it’s going to take more Tommy Robinson type demos for anyone to sit up and notice

I’m past caring who get into power, no party protects the everyday hard working family, they fill their own boots, gold plated pensions, retirement at 55 or 60 while every other fucker who works in the private sector has to work until they drop, while paying 40% tax for the pleasure to cover the gold plated pensions.

I'm the same, as the saying "they all piss in the same pot".

The problem as I see it is that our tribal two party version of democracy is now well past its sell-by date and we desperately need to move towards a "deliberative" democracy where policies & decision making is decentralised and people are more involved, this need for devolution has recently been again demonstrated in the Welsh Elections.

I often hear reference to the "will of the people", in our current system the wishes of people are bundled up into manifesto packages once every four years and whichever party who then wins the election (by an equally outdated non proportional "First Past the Post" system) is then free to exercise their own political dogma without consultation with the people, save for the occasional referendum.

In today's climate of instant communication and social media the "people" are better informed and want more of a say, something our Victorian style of Democracy cannot provide.

Close down Westminster and its crumbling buildings and rebuild elsewhere... pop that bubble is what I say.

Looks like the number admitting to be Christian has halved since the 1940s with an increase on those describing themselves as non-religious.

Probably self-preservation to avoid being massacred as in other Balkan states

Was just going to post the same. Muslims seemed to suffer the most with State atheism

Wonder what the pie chart looks like in Persia nowadays.

I think there's massive potential for a centrist/even a bit left leaning party who are genuinely tough on illegal immigration.

If it was well led, that's a party I'd be likely to vote for. Not a cat in hell's chance I'd vote for Reform because of all the other batshit crazy ideas they have about almost everything else.

There were people on social media yesterday blaming Keir Starmer for this bloke getting a pay off.

Like they rang number 10 and said 'Prime Minister we don't know what to do with this fella - he won't get on the plane" and KS had bank transferred him £500 to get rid!

Be interesting if the Labour Party made a commitment to hold another EU referendum in this Parliament and committed to vigorously enforcing the Dublin Convention to return asylum seekers with those powers. Brexit was 2020 do people think the increase in boats is a coincidence ?

Sure they won’t. Instead they will piss about trying to move people from hotels to army barracks. Their plans to tackle the issue reminds me of when my lad used to play football and the mums watching would discuss tactics.

Rachel Reeves should resign over this issue around letting out her family home according to social media shouters

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2025/oct/20/reform-uk-reviews-if-it-underpaid-vat-on-tickets-and-merchandise

This story is on The Times website, but under a firewall.

On the Reeves thing it does wrong that those who hold the highest office of state get their house provided on Downing Street but then can make £3000 plus per month renting their family home out. Why not just donate that money to Shelter ?
