I visited Winchester last year....It was like Bolton circa 1980. Loved everything about Winchester then i visited Southampton  10 mins down the road and it is like the Bolton of today.

I have not lived in Winchester for about 20 years mate. I am born and bred Bolton and moved back after a good while of living elsewhere including abroad. I just used that username as the board had a reset and needed a new login when I was living down there. 😁

The state pension is categorically a "benefit". You don't have to pay in a single penny in your entire life, and you can still claim it when you hit retirement age. The fact you can still claim it abroad is irrelevent. It's astounded how misunderstood this is.
