Sigh.

Czech Republic had associate membership from 1995.

In 1999, the decision to move the machine shop and it’s machines was made for three reasons .

1 Cheap labour.

2 EU grants to our parent company  for relocating the business to CZ

3 The sale of the land to Sainsbury’s for 8 million.

The first machines were removed from Bolton and installed in CZ in 1999. I was there.

I actually knew you would know the facts, so fair enough

But the local rag has them leaving in 2002

Anyway, EU or not, manufacturing has always seen moves like that to reduce the cost base, which you accept

It's not an EU thing

Give it 30 years, I bet there's loads of manufacturing coming to the backward, inward looking shithole that is GB  :)

The move was done over a number of years and there are now 2 sites in CZ doing what was done in Bolton.

Hicks were typical of many companies who switched to the EU for cost reasons. My point was that the people who lost their jobs as a result would probably not be pro EU when it came to the vote.

It shouldn't worry you because you said we'd get a deal, in fact you are happy with May's deal unless you are changing the goal posts again.

I want the best deal possible for us, you on the other hand seem to want worst deal possible to say I told you so. Utter cunt of a position to take. Sadly the word cunt sums up many remainers.

Not having the leverage of no deal would hinder us getting the best deal,  by implication that tells me you want the worst deal for the U.K. and all to say I was right all along. Pathetic.

In fairness, I think there is only Bolty on here who wants us to leave with no deal. Nobody else has said they want us to

Haha....we also have them remainers/project fear types who think think the world will end on the 29th, I hope they continue to post as they’re highly amusing.

The same nutters were running for the hills and building air raid shelters in December 1999 :D

We’ve remainers wanting the worst possible deal so that we are forced to stay. They can fuck off.

They're simpletons, sadly we have them on both sides of the fence.

I'm worried about this rumour that we might extend A50.... That would make this process even more farcical

Moreover, if this was to happen because no deal is removed as an option, then there's no incentive for the EU to bother doing anything further.

Stuck in a situation to go back to the initial deal with a load of time wasted.

Cunting cunty cunts some of these MPs.

Spot on, to remove no deal is a fucking joke. Will drag negotiators on longer and result in a poorer deal and is exactly what the EU and remainers want. Remainers acting against our nations interest. Cunts of the highest order.

Most understand the importance of having a strong bargaining stance to achieve a good agreement and are prepared to go along with it even if it's not what they wanted.

Some don't want a deal and are trying to undermine the process.

These cabinet ministers not wanting a no deal; fine very few do, but publishing a comment in a newspaper at such a crucial time just sends a message to the EU.

There's a story with parallels elsewhere on here.

Don't talk shite

Why the fcuk would remainers want a shite deal

Strikes me you're getting your excuses in before it all goes tits up

Well, trust me, if it does turn to shit, the blood will be on your hands, not mine

Fucking hell put the wine down fella. Remainers want a shite deal so they can attempt to get a second referendum and campaign that the shite deal means we shouldn’t leave.

The only concern I have is that the referendum isn’t acted on, then there will be bloodshed,  and it’ll be on the folk who wouldn’t accept democracy.
