Featured Replies

they have them in atherton , but they are on the street railings which were put there to stop the athy pisspots falling out of the letters and punchbowl pubs straight into the road....

they do look good but 98% are faceing the same way

Spotted them today in Astley Bridge on the way to see my mum. Like them

Saw some animal urinating on one earlier - no respect.

How bizarre

The local branch of the RBL have just finished putting 150 large poppies up around Macclesfield. They look good and have been very well received.

Why 'secretly'?

You've just posted it on a public forum.

Dick.

A bloke from the council came on to Colls yesterday and gave us 2 of the big poppies to display

  • 2 weeks later...

easy to confuse them with emergency poppies that the council would leave out for folk who've forgot to buy one

they do the same with bouquets of flowers, if you need to appease the mrs or on the way to the graveyard but the florists is shut, the council tie them up to lampposts and railings, normally near traffic lights / busy crossings, for folk to pick up at their convenience

Liking the poppies on lamp posts looks great. ????

I hope folk take them down after Remembrance Day, I think there is something disrespectful in having faded ones on a car months later.
