The purchase price of our club won't be the deterrent to a buyer, it's how much they'd need to spend going forwards. It's not a se of have you got 15/20/25/30 million, depending on what you believe the price to be. It's have you got at least another 50m-plus to move the club on.

And yet day after day it’s proven in football that the more you spend doesn’t necessary correlate with your position in the league.

True. By luck or judgment you can still go very far on good coaching, well managed and motivated players and an empowered, energised support base.

The fact we are dining at the table we are suggests we are punching well above our weight.

Yet folk want to protest because we knocked some vegan ponce for a few quid.

Pathetic.

Well, the legal action hasn't happened and as he strikes me as the litigious type, this suggests he might not actually have a case.

In which case, he should fuck off and keep his carrot-crunching mouth shut.

Is it? All statistical analysis shows that spending correlates to success.

As the SWFC chairman says there will always be exceptions but we were the exception last year in surviving.

Our fans have zero concept for how poor we are now and how under resourced we are for the league we currently sit in. Hoping to be the 1% exception isn't going to last forever.

A good example of an exception is Huddersfield. Promoted on a small budget, survived against all the odds. But you cannot keep defying the odds forever. And they haven't.

Darragh MacAnthony is the owner of Peterborough United and here's his take on the sale of our club...

"It’s a good buy as fans been used to so much nonsense & disappointment in recent times so any new owner comes in with low bar kinda scenario & good fan base/facilities to have a right go to turn it around imo."

It might relate to some comments made about Roger Allanson by one of us.

tbf, ive been pleased that everybody has been very precise in their comments on the matter

no accusations, just known facts and questions

Clear story based on just facts available for the BEN / iles to run with if they wished...  The story can be writern just based on facts that are available in the public domain without any real investigation...  The 2nd story can be a follow up on the ST statement

This. Even £25M isn't ridiculous for a debt free football club with our facilities. But the problem is after that its a hell of a job to move forwards. And nowadays spending £50M might just be enough to sustain a mid table championship position.

Correct, otherwise we're as bad as the other blogs & the BN.

Is it easy to flog a loss making hotel attached to a football ground? I have no idea if it would be in demand or not?

I think he is a mate of Worzel Gummidge at FGR - seen a couple of "pally" tweets between the pair of them

He needed a push in that direction, we'll see how impartial he really is.

If it made sense to sell, Kenny would do

Likely to be a comment made (maybe on here, twatter or other social medium) that the ST board have seen and wondered why folk like us know things they don't.

If someone claiming to have the credentials of Allenson approached the ST to become co opted, the ST would agree without bothering with background checks being made.

My guess is the revelations are all news to the ST and they'll be running around coming up with a defence.
