We're not relegated if we don't win. We won't have lost all hope if we don't win. So it's not "must win ".   Winning would be a huge boost to us, especially with the 3 tough games coming after, bu

Shame the other one was looking at the half way line

  • I think we are better than 3 others. That will do me and most of us come the end of the season.

Is it?

I think our squad looks utter shit

and that’s my point earlier

Millwall have not improved their squad maybe Elliot and saville not bad but they have kept a big majority of the 1st team from last season

So on that we finished 10 above them last season and also did the double over them and brought ameobi and Henry in ours iimo it’s much better

Suppose so....it's still all very much a "tallest dwarf" competition, as both squads are certainly amongst the very weakest in the division  - the end of the season positions will tell us all we need to know, we'll both be in the bottom five I reckon

Their manager is getting more out of their squad than ours is. Fact. I ain't seen much of them but I'd hazard a guess they don't just hoof it with no plan b. The way alot talk on here ours is an impossible job and no matter who was in charge we would be on 16-18 pts at this stage. It's bollocks. The manager who gets you out of league isn't necessarily the one who works best in the next. Southampton culled Adkins when in prem alot said harsh turned out be a belting move.

As an earlier poster pointed out our effectiveness last season was mainly set peice based .Wheater & Beevers are scorless I think so far

Most teams we played last year in Div 1 had plenty of the ball & at least two of them pulverised us football wise.

In short you cant polish a Richard the third.

That 10 points could disappear in a couple of weeks.

Agree.

Going back to bolty's posts earlier; no problems with being positive about what each season may bring etc, but we've been subjected to some atrocious fayre these recent months. For me its human nature to want to try to win; yes there are different ways to do so, but at times I'm convinced our players are inhibited and are prevented from truly expressing themselves and performing as well as they could. As poor as many think they are, there's definitely more available and for me others managers would realise this.

Millwall signed George Saville in the summer. He was head and shoulders above everyone else on the pitch at their place in August. Absolutely ran the game.

20 goals from our centre halves last season.

But we still drew and we were without Vela, Ameobi and Henry hadn’t signed.

and like i say, elliot is a handy player

miles better than big gaz

yet is 3rd in line, while we're lumbered with your chum

When you say "better than big Gaz", do you mean he gets the ball and tries to do something with it rather than trying to fall over if a defender is within three feet of him?

Wish we could draft SKD in and get him as a specialist coach the way we would for keepers.

Maybe he could have a couple of pints before the match, might give him some agression.

Or would he just start throwing drinks bottles around?

SKD could be a massive fanny at times too.

No where near as often as Madine but he certainly had his moments

all this about madine going down is imo a load of bollocks

he is being fouled and its time referees did their jobs

problem is they show no sign of doing so, so he needs to take it and try to stay on his feet

What a lot of folk don’t realise is that’s when you are tall you don’t have that low sense of gravity and once a 6 foot 4 inch lad is off balance there is no stopping the momentum, I talk from experience. ????

I got the impression last match that madine going down seemed a tactic to gain dangerous free kicks.. then give them to madine to take??

I certainly don't think we get our fair share of decisions. We all know refs these days have meetings and I'm sure they've got us down as one to watch and this is on each refs mind. Or am I looking at it through White tinted glasses?

aye, first part of the plan worked ok

then it went a bit, erm, wrong

Once he spannered the 1st one into the wall surely some bugger else should have taken the next one.

Doesn’t Ronaldo have a ridiculous low conversion rate.

Bit like Roberto Carlos.

He’d take 4 or 5 a match and he’s be lucky if 1 got past the wall.

Well that’s what I told myself after madine hit the wall for a second time.

That might be the case but at least they do get a few on goal and score a few. I wouldn’t have fancied Madine to score from there with no wall and Amos in the net

Needed another 3 goes to have an accurate conclusion on the comparison with Roberto Carlos

So, mardine, you soft cunt, ram my words down my neck the morro.

I think he might listen to the forum, as in somebody has to read it to him.
