    Good question!  Considering what and how he did it, yeah - best there's ever been.

     

    I reckon Ben Hogan was better than Nicklaus but the Bear (from what I gather and remember, which is little) was the best grinder; best golf temperament, if you will.

    A combination of grace, talent and professionalism.

     

    Some of the more dangerous sports; motor racing/ski jumping require a mentality way beyond most of us. Not sure who the best formula one driver would be though.
