  • At what stage of that season was promotion a minimum? Going into august most of us were chuffed we still had a team to support. Despite the good start folk were still only talking of making the play o

Correct Ani,  the most vocal on social media probably don't go.

It is far from great at the moment, that is something we all agree. However, if we change manager and go worse. What then?

at risk of folk moaning cos they dont want to hear this, forest spent the best part of 30 million in the summer

you can argue all day long we could have 'attacked' more, but fcuk me, just why is there any reason we should be beating forest

all three goals couldve been prevented if we hadnt made mistakes in the build up to them and thats nowt to do with tactics, formations, beer or red buttons

not even hot dogs

Until we get some investment this is how its going to be .

None of our players would get in Forest's team maybe a couple on the bench.

Its reality folks & carefull what you wish for in terms of management changes

Ps Thought Wheater was immense on Wed night didnt deserve to be in a side that got shafted.

His saving grace is the start we made to the season, the current run is awful.

Judged on last 10 games i get the discontent, based on the season as a whole what position did people think we would be in now ? With 2 of the promoted teams out performing expectations we are likely to need to finish above at least 2 maybe 3 teams that finished above us last year.

As mentioned numerous times i do not understand or agree with many of his decisions but judged on his overall record he continues to do a good job.

The discontent within the fans is a lot stronger on facebook amongst people on their 97th excuse not to go to games than within the ground. The angry behind me has never been happy about anything but other than that people around us largely back him

Look I knew as many it would be a hard season not denying that and as you say Blackburn and Wigan started well

however the man is making bizarre decisions on a regular basis and I genuinely think he has no clue who to play

yes most of the discontent is aimed on social media but it really won’t take long to filter onto the stands

But Parkinson had them running through walls last season, forest are a good side but the way we lost and played was cheap

not looking forward to Saturday one bit

Pretty much where I'm at.

We've been a basket case financially for a while now and so these inconsistent players who make stupid mistakes are all we can/could attract. Parky could have gone gung-ho and played 4-2-4 but if Noone (or someone else) gives it away cheaply with colleagues out of position and then doesn't bust his balls to get back, we're still going to concede.

That said, PP really does need to be setting up differently at home instead of playing every single game as though we're away. If Dougie Freedman proved one thing in his dismal tenure here, it's that attempting to defend for 75 mins and then trying to nick a 1-0 doesn't work (especially if you can't defend).

This is arguably the best squad we've had for some time, but we haven't improved as much as most of our rivals, so in real terms we're still going backwards.

Investment is needed and I hope KA is able to secure this by January, as doubtful as it seems.

We won't go down, but it's going to be ugly.

It's not about beating forest. It's about serting up negatively every game. He'll do the same v hull a shite team. But you'll wheel out they've got parachute payments. Blackburn have a go at teams Wigan have a go at teams

Tarian and anyone moaning about Parky....where did you expect to be at this stage of the season ?

In the middle of a dismal run turning out turgid performances

I expect it to happen at least 2 more times this season

So hopefully that means 2 good runs, but the longer they go on, 1 win in 10 and 4 goals, the more you start to wonder

That’s exactly. Don’t think anyone expects any more.

And most rational folk can see what a job he’s done.

Its just fuckin crap to watch and people are getting tired of it. It’s the apathy that will kill him.

I think he's done what was asked of him, but it's the way he's gone about it for me, setting up with a defensive mindset against the likes of Derby and Forest I can take, but against the likes of QPR and their ilk is not acceptable, but I fear it's the only way he knows and nothing changes while he's in charge.

aye

feels like the difference this season compared to last is we have had a good run first, because that performance v Forest was as bad as any we produced at the start of last season

That’s a man on the verge

I'm a big Parky supporter and no I don't expect to be beating Forest but for one of the few times under his management the performance particularly in the first half was 'not right'

The players seemed to have a lack of understanding of their roles and how they were supposed to be playing which manifested itself in being really poor at the basics. Team selection was also poor.

We can only get better against Hull.

I take it no one is going to reply to the simple question ‘where did you expect us to be at this stage of the season ?’

I mean in terms of league position as you all know.

Well, in answer to you question Ani, as we have scored more points away from home than home, I am surprised at our position, as I expected us to be lower BUT, I don't really have positive expectations when playing away but his style does suit us. It is the home form where I think the critique is, and for some reason, I never feel he knows what to do at home,  or if he does, he watches a different match to me as we don't play as the home team. But that is just my opinion. And I have only been to 3 home matches this season.

Truthfully, thought we would be more or less where we are now

I'm in the same fame of mind, we are where we are, but if we want progress we should be higher season on season, and I just don't see it with Parkinson, we were all happy to just avoid relegation from the Premier league, but finishing 4th bottom of the Championship or there about's doesn't show me any progress has been made, we have a much better squad of players this season, but it's not changed our style in any way shape or form.

Throw in that he still swaps and chops and makes baffling decisions

About where we are. But take out the first four games we must have the worst points since. This is a big game Saturday. As some have said fine to set up defensive v.forest Leeds Boro etc but not week in week out v bottom half dross. Dross football is only acceptable if winning. Dross football and losing equals job centre

Nail on the head pragmatic (or shit) football is acceptable when it’s winning.

When pragmatic (or shit) football is losing and getting hammered patience wears thinner quickly.

So we are where people thought we would be. Although I thought we would be lower I accept that is what people expected.

But because we are boring people want rid of Parky. Out of interest has anyone asked fans of others clubs about Parky ? All the ones I know think he is doing an incredible job.

While PP is far from blameless for the Forest result. He had the wrong starting line up for me, again to defensive. But the players seem to be getting away with less stick. Is it PP's fault a player can't pass to a team mate or be bothered to close down or track back. The players should be getting blasted for that performance.

Fans from other clubs don’t have to sit and watch us play 1 up front and have 19% possession in a deserted ans silent stadium every week.

I think people are just starting to panic that this might be one catastrophic run too many and the damage might ireparable.

You cant blame folk for being concerned and even more so you can’t blame folk for not wanting any more nights like Wednesday.

Trouble is under Parky, you know the next night like Wednesday is just around the corner.
