February 25, 20197 yr I remember getting a 5 figure crowd (Swindon maybe) for the first time as a supporter and thinking it was like the whole town had turned up. Even the Lever End looked full. We went down from old D1 in 1980; the following January we played Forest in the Cup and in the Burnden replay we got a 20k+ crowd on. What game was the next time we managed that (i.e. over 20k) at Burnden (for a Bolton game - there might have been rugby there with a bigger crowd, not sure)?

February 25, 20197 yr The season after that Birmingham game, we'd won our 1st game at Shrewsbury then played Bradford at home. 7,031. Then huddersfield away with a big BW following, 5,419. Lost both those games so crowd under 5k for next home game v Crewe. Won 3-2, next game a big derby v PNE, crowd swelled to 5,844! So much for PNE bringing thousands although it was a night game. Wigan away end sep, total crowd 4,366! Lost 2-1, next home game 3,631. Great days!
