At the risk of sounding like a complete wanker, if this gets cancelled because the players won't play then even as what maybe a last symbolic gesture should everyone who was going to go not still go anyway?

I know similar was put forward on FB when the SAG thing might have cancelled the game the other week but this is more serious than that and  if there's no show from the fans then in the worst case of liquidation the whole club might just fizzle away without even a send off.
