If you checl your account history it tells you if you have bought a ticket

I'd say if it says you have, you're in the figure

Yeah, checked mine and it says I "bought" a season ticket on 9th September.

Hall of fame suite prices coming out this week. Cat A £80 per match Cat B £60 3 course meal etc etc. Starts from the Blackpool match...subject to change when I get the actual information

In - just done it. Took no time. God knows how many games I'll actually get to, but had to be done!

I’m in the same boat. I’ll probably make it to half if I’m lucky.

Complete waste of money but can’t bring myself to not have one.

Aye, and long term (and I do mean long term - ain't for now) I do think they could visit the notion of a buy back option for a small number of games. So a ST holder could be encouraged to keep renewing  by the fact that they can get summat back for midweeks etc they know they'll not get to. Not cash in hand there and then but off the next season's price or even just credit for tat from the club shop. Other clubs do it, though often I guess they're in a situation where they know the unused seat can be filled (West Ham do  - but of course they know they'll flog the ticket to a tourist). Keeping people renewing is paramount and once the buzz of the club being saved wears off, and especially if we're in L2 next year, then they do need incentives. I'd even pay an upfront premium on the original price to get that option.

Plus, as I've said before on here, cheap deals for the hotel for ST holders travelling a distance for midweek games on days that the hotel is unlikely to exactly be rammed. An otherwise empty room going for £30 instead of £70 must make sense? If it's going to be populated by away fans paying full whack then fair enough (big London team in the 4h round of the Cup say). But if it's against a local team or a minnow coming from the other end of the country then surely it makes sense to get bums on beds.

I'm in regardless but I still reckon there should be discounts for long service renewals

They do, not long until you get it. Is it 60 or 65 at our gaff?

Sorted this afternoon.

In again plus the owd fella and youngest yoof again.

There should also be some discount in the hospitality areas for kids aged 12-17, instead of wanting a grand a season off them.

12-17's aren't doing LoV on their own, so it's basically for a parent to take their kid in.

12-17's don't pay full whack on match tickets, so why full price in hospitality?

Or if we're in L2 next year, significant savings on long term season tickets. I' sure last time I was at Sheff Wed they were advertising 3 year STs at, presumably, incentivising discounts. Get people to be part of the long haul back with cash up front.

The trouble with long term season tickets is that we’d have to trust the club to a) honour them and b) not spunk all the money in year one and be on our arse again in years two and three.

I very much doubt that will happen under our current regime.

Decent people, decent values.

Aye, true, but then that's the owners' job. They'd certainly have to "sell" them and generate genuine  confidence for the long term. That's this lots challenge I guess. Not saying it's easy, but...

Absolutely, but you never know what (and who) is around the corner.

Don’t get me wrong, I’d be one of the first in the queue for such an idea, but there have been a good few horror stories when other clubs have had similar schemes, and more particularly their reasons behind introducing them.

Having cheaper tickets for long standing season ticket holders will come across as charging newcomers more.  The opposite of what a lot of companies do with introductory offers etc, we'd be putting people off saying you have to pay more for the first few years but if you hang around long enough you can pay the same as your mates that you sit with.

How about a bar voucher, increasing in value for every consecutive year you had a season ticket then? That way everyone pays same for the ST but long-standing ST holders still get rewarded for their loyalty.

I suppose the other way to do it is a reward after the three consecutive years, especially in the case of the next three years. Like as not we'll probably go down this year (especially if they hit us with any more deduction for a combo of Brentford and Doncaster) and so it would be an achievement if three years from now we're starting in the Championship (look how long Sheff U lingered in this division for example). Not only would the team/management/owners deserve credit is that happens, the fans who have kept going from rock bottom also could be rewarded. If that meant paying £290 instead of £350, say, then it would be appreciated - especially if we were still in L1 at that point and the buzz of survival has long gone and we're just a middling L1 side plodding on safe, but with no great prospect of going up. Then repeat the cycle - everyone keeps getting a discount on adult tickets after every three consecutive years. Makes cock-all difference to people in real money terms, but does make them feel appreciated and encourages them to renew if they're wavering. As long as it's made clear that the cost is not being passed on to new ST holders or match day buyers then I don't see how they can complain.

Or summat.

cancelled my DD for last years ST in the West Upper

bought a new one up front in the West Lower

presuming that will be that and the club won't try renewing my old one or trying to take money or anything like that, but I've not been paying attention, so will see

I cancelled my DD’s and paid up front last season but they renewed me by DD this season (in account history). When I went to sort it they had to cancel the ‘renewed seats’ and release them in order I could buy them again.

I’d check with the ticket office or you may end up paying for both.

edited so I could add that I sorted it, easily

A precautionary comment on the renewals....

I cancelled my DD in April last year.

In my account last week it showed as a renewal was in place with a charge of £293 (which seemed to be £278 cost + £15 DD charge) but they cancelled it without notification somewhere between then and now.

I just happened to look online today to see how many had been sold and I noticed my top seats were available to buy.

I rang and spoke to someone in Bolton Central. I could feel the disinterested shoulder shrug down the phone line.

If I hadn't rung I would have lost them seats.

My advice to anyone who thinks they've been renewed is to check your account and/or ring.

Not said with any malice but new owners, same numpties in the Office

Calling any of the staff numpties after last few months is pretty shit in my opinion.
