Thats most of WW sorted isn't it?

It's a sobering thought that some posters from the Rivals days would be in their (late) twenties then, and now would fall into the 'get these owd cunts jabbed' over-50's category.

There must be at least one poster still active who joined in the autumn of youth and is now creaking ever nearer the grave as a balding, greying and probably impotent owd duffer?

There is but he stopped posting on here when he got some staples wedged in his helmet after an unfortunate incident involving a brass, a fanzine and some poor directional control

I had just left uni when I joined Rivals, temping at my Dad's school and applying for jobs in London... that makes me feel old.

Meldrew? Saying that’s he’s just bald

I was doing a fansite, with Dids-esque enthusiasm, when I signed up (as Blanco). When I came across here I pretty much jacked it in, it was impossible to produce the same quality of read that a 'community' creates, weĺl, specifically and uniquely - Wanderersways. I could probably tell almost to the day the day I joined Rivals by looking at the properties of images of my piss poor fansite.

I dunno why folk bugger off, claim 'leftist coups', say "it's not the same" etc. I don't reckon' that much has changed tbh.

Fuck me, a lot of water under the bridge since then - then again lots of posters now (going off the Euro 96 thread) would've still been in single figures (or just about double) in the days of mass invading Tranmere's board etc.

Spanning three decades, take a bow, Happy.

BTW no way George was in the late stages of youth on Rivals - I bet he's eighty now 😀

It used to tickle me that No balls used to be particularly peturbed by his admission he liked visiting the south when with his lady friends. 😨

he bought the domain in 99 - so that's 4!!

fair play

I was Normid on the rivals site - had a few names on here, kept changin as kept forgetting my password/username.

I think n the the successes is the format, when you go on other fan sites and you have that odd chain things going on. Its always been really easy and clear to use.

That and the fact there are some proper manics on this site who always keep it entertaining.

Oh, I think I knew that, I've just got pickled brain ( © Bolty58. ) inability to count properly, was it up and running around the time of the turn of the Millenium? I'm sure I was lurking around the time of the Tranmere League Cup Semi dicking...

The mind boggles.

Cases are on their back up. 45000 the other day. Hopefully the lockdown effect will be more pronounced by this time next week.

A month???

Missed that bit

We’ve become so used to all this that it’s only occasionally a fairly innocuous news report makes you stop dead in your tracks.

Unless there's a mutation - I think these next 4 weeks are as bad as it's likely to ever get.

Listening to that it seems people aren’t even allowed to go to a funeral. At least we are allowed to pay our respects, even if it’s only a small number. They are pretty efficient at these things though.
