An interesting fact that came out in one of the committee briefings was a company in Scotland who are using a deactivated form of the virus, the old fashioned type perhaps, but should give a much broader spectrum of response. Thus potentially enabling it to be effective against a greater range of variants.

Some way off iirc, but good to have as part of the armoury.

I heard that if you owned cats you were 98% immune from the virus. 

I don't know what study it was, just overheard on the radio this morning. Just sounded like it wasn't as comprehensive as that. Although I was only half listening so I'm sure your right.

Took my gran to docs in Howfen for her jab tonight, what scenes. It was well organised in and out, she saw an old pal in the holding area after the jab. They were rattling through them. She had the Pfizer one and is back in April 8th. 
 

Think the thing that got me was seeing all these folk who may of not been out due to shielding or spent time all alone. Knowing they are all queueing up for that shot in the arm Knowing it’s going to help them get to some kind of normality and threat the chance of getting this will be so much reduced. 
 

she’s on orders now to stay in for a couple of weeks don’t risk going out just yet!

No idea who did it. Can only imagine it's because she was shitting in their garden. She was only 6 months old and a rescue cat too.

Spent 3 nights at the 'pet hospital' but had her put down as her organs were starting to shut down and vet said she was in too much pain.

My mum (82) is due to have the jab there but was worried about the organisation, etc. I noticed that they've got a marquee on the car park. They doing them in there?

Years ago some boy racer ran over our dog when my then missus was taking him out for a walk, he was as road savvy as a human.

Fucking nobhead had added so many distinctive modifications it took about two minutes to track him down, but revenge was served much later - cold.

Yes. The marquee is the holding area, Queue up at the entrance, then straight into a doctors office and into the holding area. It was busy but she was waiting 5 mins or so for the jab and then the 15mins holding. If I was picky the social distancing could’ve been better but that only minor nitpicking at the rate they were administering. There were patients from the Blackrod practice as well as Peter House. 
 

Lot of traffic but we parked on the pavement between Captain Lee’s and Waters Nook which was easier than getting outside.
