That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

All that kissing they do.

Apparently a load of tanks got reversed into each other and then a bloke selling ice cream and singing stabbed someone in the buttocks and it went down hill from there. They were very well dressed though.

I did find it slightly ironic that the tests my lad brought home had NHS plastered all over them and a made in China stamp on the side.

£2.9billion on LFT’s??

@miamiwhite may be able to help there, but these ODX ones are a fiver each.

That means they have already bought 580million lateral flow tests.

Now I’m not saying they haven’t. But they sure haven’t bought them from any manufacturers me and Miami know about.

Thats also 16 LFT’s for every adult in the uk.

Sniff sniff

We should be expecting a bigger reduction in deaths & infections over this coming week, the figures are going to be very interesting and the anticipated rise in infections via mass testing in schools hasn't materialised as some first thought, including myself.

My only worry is about other variants coming to the fore across Europe, I'm hoping it's just scaremongering, but France & Italy seem to have had a rapid rise in infections over the last week, let hope because of our successful vaccination rollout that we don't follow suit as usual 🤞

Holidays abroad are going to be at a premium

Dropping the mother's day gift off

Got some LFTs first

Negative

So stopping for a brew

The whole LFT process genuinely gave me a buzz, felt like proper progress has been made

Walked in, no questions asked, handed over two boxes

Will offer good peace of mind for BBQs and social gatherings next month

Not half.

Over 500000 done yesterday, keep them coming.

Just read a bbc story on this: I know that stats aren't everything, but the incidence of blood clotting events is lower in the vaccinated section of the population (EU and UK) than in the non vaccinated section.

I hazard a guess that such issues will occur more frequently in the old too, who are the vaccinated cohort.

On that basis, surely it should be given as a means of blood clot prevention?

Vaccine envy; not a good look for a trading bloc

The vaccine programme has been a shambles from start to finish. I'm glad this was the part that we absolutely nailed.

Much of Europe now suspending of AZ.

Presumably, they'll let those made in Italy go to Australia now.

Doesn’t bode well for summer.

Is it a bit like Burtonwood bitter this AZ stuff? Always a decent pint within about 30 miles of the brewery but didn’t travel well

It must be one of the most moronic decisions in memory.

We have evidence of it being administered to millions of people without significant issues yet still they plough on with suspending their rollouts.

Meanwhile, increases in rates in places in Europe.

Bonkers.

Well do even worse in Eurovision this year, if that’s possible.

37 cases out of 14,000,000. I'd be surprised if that's much above the background rate.

And take those 14,000,000

If only 1% contracted the virus - and 1% of them died as a result - you'd still be looking at 1,400 deaths.

Even if there is a causitive effect - and there's no evidence to say that there is, then the benefits still massively outweigh the risks.

It needs more research - but pulling the plug seems a bit daft to me.
