No matter what the numbers/data say, I doubt they'll be pulling anything forward, as they've said they will review things every five weeks, they won't sway from that I don't think

When there is no one dying and virtually zero infection rates, just can’t see them holding  back the tide. We will see pretty soon methinks.

As it stands we are 2 months off pubs & restaraunts opening, were at less than 100 deaths a day, infection rates falling hand over fist so I cannot see the government holding to the 17th May, when all other businesses are open. It needs looking at as every day goes by more pubs and restaurants will be gone forever. Justify another 60 days with hard evidence or allow them to open when other non essential businesses are allowed.

be seeing how many little bastards get it at school and and give it to grandma and grandad

i cant see them changing there mind TBH

by 17 may i bet anougth 20 million will have been jabed

Hospitality can open indoors on 26th April up here. But not with alcohol. So she’s basically saying it’s safe to open but you can’t drink. Strange really

3 weeks later they hope to allow indoor hospitality. So I assume covid is learning I that 3 week period to not infect people who drink. Clever wee fucker this isn’t it

im thinking of doing the N500

so poss 2nd week in may you think

We've got two pubs in the village I live in, both have said they're not bothering to open for outdoor - as if the weather is shit for that month, then they'll have very few in, and they might end up taking less money than they're currently getting from the Government, so they're both staying shut until indoor drinking is allowed again

Apparently, 3 out of 5 pubs won't bother opening for the "outdoor" bit - which makes sense considering town and city centre pubs generally don't have much of an outdoors

Soft as shit I am but when it comes to my child my inner pyscho comes out 😂

Judging from the lateral flow tests,  I reckon we could be on the home streak..

In the school I work in, its worked really well, and feeling very safe in work despite 1750 people being in the building.

If it takes four weeks to make an assessment of each impact then they're not going to.

Listened to this on R4 this morning.

it’s very interesting on the governments thought process leading up to the outbreak.
worth a listen if you’ve got time to kill, some good insights.

It’s a strange one isn’t it. Open a pub indoors but can’t drink in it?? If it’s safe to open in an enclosed environment then let people drink.

of course by opening then it removes a chunk of the grant support from them as they are no longer closed by rule.

beer gardens are open for alocohol.

Also 17th may looking like pubs open indoors for drinking purposes. Is that before or after England?
