That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

My boss lives in lancs all week but returns to wales every weekend

Never seen any signs of checks

I was being a tad sarcastic!

Going to take some effort to police a travel ban if one came about.

Army should be on the streets by now really if we are all honest. Other than them the streets of Bolton should be deserted.

I'm a touch surprised that schools haven't been shut and back online. Except year 11 perhaps with exams.

Cases increasing and its only half a term.

Not ideal at all, but as a short term measure to get numbers down again then maybe.

Strangely if this was elsewhere I feel the calls for tougher action from the government would be loud from certain quarters on here.

43 now in RBH according to the BN. I think it was 12 about a week ago.

That's why I made the point. Better to have everyone at home and working online- that way they're not having to isolate. One case and the rest are online and isolating.

Lad's got 4 days left at secondary school- only exams, yet it is still a slightly concerning time given recent cases.

Travel in and out of Bolton banned except for work and education

Fair enough, youre probably correct...id also be making the point that cunto letting flights in from india isnt helping

However, who are those ihospitalised?

If theyre vaccine avoiders, theyll still be at risk in years to come

It doesnt actually say that and good luck enforcing it

Those figures around second doses and time to build up immunity to Indian variant mean that there's still a risk- 33% effective after 1 dose.

Need a mega push to get folk jabbed.

From what I read other day it’s mainly folk who have refused the vaccine. If so they should not be near the hospital. Let them die it’s their choice.

Bolton must be up there with Leicester for being one of the longest locked down towns in the UK. I can't even remember the last time I went.

A chinook just flew over Horwich in the direction of Nether Bolton.

Hopefully full of napalm.

Those are disconcerting numbers - especially as numbers are still rising and we have that 2 week lag.

Many more younger, unvaccinated folk coming in too by all accounts.......

Bolton’s a complete shit show, I’d be moving home at double speed if I lived there.

Numbers have risen here, in my semi rural area, but you would expect nowt else with all the testing

Pretty much!

Booked for my first jab. Next Thursday in Urmston, Horwich is fully booked for 2 weeks.

Trying to get correct numbers isn’t easy.

MMEN has 43 admissions and 43 patients in hospital. One is likely to be wrong, or both.

The Mirror has it as 24 being treated.

The official daily summary is at 24 and that is up to date

https://coronavirus.data.gov.uk/details/healthcare?areaType=nhstrust&areaName=Bolton NHS Foundation Trust

the 43 comes from here;

BREAKING - The number of covid patients in Bolton hospital has increased to 43 this morning - up from 33 yesterday morning, and 29 on Friday. According to numbers seen by HSJ

I'd keep hospitality open. People are less likely to fuck off elsewhere
