That was one of the loveliest things to ever happen. Stood in my garden sobbing like a baby! Proud to work for the NHS 👏👏👏👏❤️

Clearly, views have changed and people are starting to make their own decisions.

My views haven’t changed as such. To be fair, the government have simply issued advice rather than legal mandates.

If people decide not to have a vaccine, which clearly works, then it’s up to them.

It’s probably a good job I’m not in charge as I’d only be treating the daft cunts if they paid up front.

So, mum and dad, both have had two jabs, so has my Mrs and I've had one. They want to visit for half term next week. I've not seen my family for getting onto a year for my folks, and nearly 2 for everyone else in my family.

Last summer, you guys were locked down and we were OK, same with the tiers before Christmas. Have you had a week in 14 months without lockdown? I'd be annoyed, especially with what's happening. Can't believe it's easier in a South London suburb than a Northern town.

I'd simply adopt the same attitude of a good proportion of your hometown's residents and simply do what you please...

Nobody, and this is a real cross section of tossers an' all, seems to give a shit - hence 'Bolton' being a byword for infested swamp for over a year...

Seriously, why should the 'good' keep abiding? No other cunt does [here]...

Thanks. Genuinely interested why it’s out of control in Bolton but other towns and cities not having sane issues. Maybe just an unfortunate sequence of events.

cause they all drive TAXI's

to and from jobs vary fast

Just spoke to my mum and dad and whilst they are disappointed (a more than a bit angry) they decided - because they are decent people and abide by government advice even though they might not agree with it - to follow the advice and so got miserable kids who wanted to see them.

Can't believe I not seen my Sister and my nephews since new years eve 2019. Bonkers.

Youngest brat (34 years old) just had her first jab at Horwich RMI Social Club, she was in and out in 20 minutes with the 15 minute waiting period

Yes think it was the telegraph saying you may have to isolate even after 2 jabs yet to be confirmed

just more horseshit if the case and good look with that

Interesting read on why Bolton has been hit so hard throughout the pandemic; https://www.theguardian.com/world/2021/may/23/covid-rates-in-sefton-and-bolton-tell-a-tale-of-two-demographics

“Where you have areas of your communities with a large proportion of people that are unable to work from home, with jobs that take them out of the house and into contact with other people, coupled with densely populated, terraced housing with multi-generational households it is really difficult,” said Lynn Donkin, the assistant director of public health for Bolton. “It’s difficult for people to isolate living like that, compared to being in a big detached house with two bathrooms.”

I can see the lockdown lifting measures on the 21 June being put on hold for Bolton/Blackburn/Bedford etc

I can see this happening, there will be some top level complaining on here if it does come to pass as well I reckon 🙂

Just been to Essa and been jabbed.

No fuss about half hour wait as they are trying to keep the vaccines cold and dropping them off to order.

More chance of reversing freedoms gained on 17th May in my opinion.

You can write a list now from most vociferous down 😁

Earlier on Sky, David Greenhalgh said that Bolton has no further added restrictions coming than the rest of the country and is unlikely to as government acknowledges that local lockdowns don’t work and that Bolton remains the same as the rest of the country after Boris’s announcement on May 14th, so I would imagine 21st June would follow suit.

Officially, aye, might make sense

However i know for a fact if you turn up, youve been getting done, any age

Dr Wall begged folk to come 10 days ago

She pretty much said theyd find a way to justify giving the jab

Wasn't any age when my lad went down. Was over 16.

In fact they would potentially be in serious trouble for doing anyone younger as it hasn't been approved by the mhra.

Coincidentally, this very question was raised earlier in an emergency question. It does make sense seemed to be the general view, but the mhra are looking at it, and the authorities are just waiting for approval. I would Imagine it will happen fairly soon.

As for these areas of concern- just confirmed by all that no extra restrictions have been put on any of them.

Purely an advisory move, and an appeal to better nature I suppose, though I'm not sure it will have a great deal of effect.

Just erect a series of fences and road blocks around the specific areas with high levels. 💣

If this Indian variant continues to appear in more places, I can see a delay to the final reopening, or a slight watering down of the removal of restrictions.

Strangely, by then I can see us and Blackburn with reducing figures, but other places having outbreaks.

How long do we continue for though? Say few more months another variant comes along it’s just utter nonsense talk of delaying the road map

That’s the rub pal. Folk do their bit, isolate if told to do so, and get jabbed when called and we can all move on.

If the small number continue to refuse, then that's the risk.

Can see a situation where places will start demanding evidence of vaccination before admission; not something that is ideal at all, but then again if a small group are being selfish, then perhaps they can't complain.
