Booked in for jab one next Wednesday and wouldn’t let me proceed without booking jab two in mid-August.

Work next door to a vaccination centre but for some reason that didn’t come up with an option, so ended up booking jab one for Haydock and jab two for Horwich RMI.

Cancelled next Sunday at the ticket office

In and out in 4 minutes

Lad was sent home from school earlier this week because of close contact with a positive case. LTF tests all negative but yesterday afternoon told by school everyone in our household must have PCR tests. Seems they want to try and get on top of this new varient.

Why if your LFT are negative and you have no symptoms?

That's what the country is doing.

When many kids start missing classes though, then folk get concerned.

Making a mess of year 11 assessments at the worst possible time.

Theyre missing classes for little reason

If youve not got it, get them in school

Bit depressing in Manc earlier

To me it’s really clear. If you want to go out, abide by the rules. Wear a mask where it clearly says that you have to. Book a table where it clearly says you have to. Queue up if it says that it’s “walk-in” but you might have to wait

If you’ve booked a table in a restaurant for 8pm accept that there might be a delay for a short while. The restaurant has to sanitise after the previous occupants have left the table that you want to sit at. That’s the rules. It’s not the restaurants fault. They’ve done their best to open up

Dont abuse minimum wage workers who are doing their best. It really isn’t their fault.

There really are some self-privileged cunts out there. Wish I knew who the one in the BWFC face mask was kicking off outside Kielys on Peter Street. Utter fucking knob

Come on then lads, which one of you was it? 😂

Surely we are at the stage now where we just need to stop getting tested and pissing about isolating?

Just ignore the fucking thing.

Everybody vunerable are now immune.

Who gives a shit if you get it now?

Just crack on ffs

Normal service resumed in Manc city Centre then

Add to that the vaccinations proven to work against Indian variant, there really is no need to prolong restrictions.

I take it this Phantom Variant that can pierce the vaccine still hasn't been found 👀

Latest figure this morning. Pfizer 88% effective against Indian variant. A drop of a few percent against other strains.

Whilst the term binary is in common parlance, it's appropriate here; it's not a simple "effective/not effective" question, but a question of how the level of effectiveness of any/all vaccines are against all strains, as and when they appear.

Cases need to be kept down until sufficient level of vaccination/natural immunity is reached. Jenny Haries on Andrew Marr earlier was giving these details- it's around 90%.

At that point the virus struggles to maintain its own existence, which in turn means new variants don't emerge neither.

Stick with the plan, get jabbed and we should be fine.

Don't get jabbed then don't be surprised if new "variants of concern" emerge, and this thing drags on.

Aye. Grim. Middle aged blokes shouting at teenage bar staff and waitresses. The rules are shite but it’s not their fault. Not sure why you can sit in a boozer without a mask but have to wear one to go and have a piss?

Saw that, AZ is apparently only 60% effective in the article I read

Hospitals are empty

that was the fucking point.

The vaccine is a miracle and is now proven to work.

Theres too many folk looking for an excuse not to get back to work.

Crack on. Get a jab.
