Is that the guy from Parbold who died from pneumonia? I don't know that particular bar; there are hundreds if not thousands here.

Yeah, in the new plaza round the back of the Caesar Palace Hotel.  They've classed it as Pneumonia

seriously though, best insight I've read that

I’m not a fan, I just want to share thoughts, to see if any of it helps or offers insights.

And then we can chat about it

I know where you mean. Busy spot; used to eat at a couple of places there.

its ok mate I've been "engaing" with some of the loonies on there for a few days now - they don't like many people,  they're a  strange niche "Christian, pro brexit, conspiracy theorists, conservatives, but don't like Boris or most of the current Tory Government. no mention of sport, or humour, very strange

Many sound  like wealthy old upper middle class country types  -  one guy was telling me how Lockdown is stupid because it hasn't affected him because he and his wife still feed their 120 animals, and go for country walks around his estate without a problem.

Sounds like an ideal place for a field hospital!

Think they’ve booked flights direct with RyanAir and hotel through booking.com or something similar. Think she’s written the money off and counting any refund as a bonus.

This could be of interest to you.

The problem is that they will ban flights from high risk countries and the U.K. is one of them. Whether we will by August remains to be seen.

Wasn't there a stat that said the virus mainly kills white blokes over the age of 50?

It obviously got bored of East Asians and prefers the gammon-y flavour of angry Brexit voters and Trump supporters.

What about the middle-aged brits going over for the sex/paedo trade?

Lies, damn lies and statistics eh?

According to the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation in Seattle

the UK will have the highest death toll in Europe due to the Government being so slow off the mark and going with "herd immunity" as a plan initially. Don't believe it personally but with stuff like this around it's understandable why some governments are wary of the UK.

Stats can be used to "prove" anything - just compare the demographic of Tory voters to coronavirus for example:

Last election:

Coronavirus - will we survive? - Page 18 How%20Britain%20voted%202019%20age-01

CV Death rate:

80+ years old 14.8%
70-79 years old 8.0%
60-69 years old 3.6%
50-59 years old 1.3%
40-49 years old 0.4%
30-39 years old 0.2%
20-29 years old 0.2%
10-19 years old 0.2%

Does that mean that God sent CV to punish the Tories?

Does it fook.

that's because God doesn't exist, though the one who started all this could've been a remainer

this is the link to their report https://covid19.healthdata.org/united-kingdom

I read this last night, some commentators are saying they're way off because they've weighted our lack of spare ICU beds in comparison  to other European countries much too heavily, which has distorted the figures

they think we could get up to 9.9k deaths per day by april 20th - can't see it being anywhere near that

Seattle perhaps need to mind their own backstep first!

I have a theory we won’t reach the levels Italy is seeing, this is mainly based on , A -They have an older population than the UK. B- They hug & kiss a lot more than we do in the UK. Finally C - Italians have a surrender mentality and the UK doesn’t. ( Third point was tongue in cheek btw)

We're not getting that many infections per day yet!

exactly, to get to 10K deaths in a day in 12 days time would mean around 10 million new infections have already happened on one single day recently,  and there would be several hundred thousand turning up to hospital daily already.  I think they're way off

That wouldn’t be good for a herd immunity strategy.
