Mentalist - that's exactly what I said we should be doing.

Scrapping in 13 days ? Smashing .....are you certain we will be alive by then ? 😘

Looks like we’ve lost a couple more of our people tonight?

Been trying to work out how many of my 9 lives I will have left if I die from Covid.

So far I've died from salmonella, AIDS, BSE, SARS, ebola, H1N1 and I will have missed some which means there's not much wriggle room left.

Have you considered the possibility that these type of events don't have such serious consequences BECAUSE we take the necessary precautions?

It's like the Millenium Bug. Lots of people dismiss it as a massive media hype-job because not much happened, but ignore the fact that billions were spent, and hundreds of thousands of people worked to avoid the potential consequences.

Did you consider I haven't actually ever died before and so was taking the piss?

I've had Ebola, sars and very bad aids and still not had a day offwork

If it stopped this wall to wall coverage I'd have it tomorrow

I thought that was the point you were making. That all those things were supposed to kill you, but they didn't, so this must be another over-reaction. I was obviously mistaken. Apologies.

827 dead now out of 12462 in Italy

just a cold though

You need to put it together with flu. And every other dangerous virus.

Your adding to a problem that already exists making the problem ten times worse.

Why is this notion so hard to grasp?

I’m sure you do

Your comparing something that hasn’t happened yet with something that happens every year

It's 827 people

The world's grinding to a bastard halt

There's no need

I'm not

I'm saying that in the absence of any figures for this year all previous years have seen tens of thousands die in Italy from flu

I'm confident more will die from flu that this new kid on the block

Do you seriously think that all these different countries would take such drastic action if the potential risk of not doing anything wasn’t so big?

Especially China FFS, they put the Economy first always and they shut the country down because of this

Do you think China overacted, what do you think would have happened had they not took the extreme measures that they did do?

Confident the numbers will be less if countries do nothing and let it run riot or confident the numbers will be less if everyone follows China’s lead?

I’m sorry, but I’m more inclined to listen to the experts on this one

I bet Iran is worse than China was, but they’ll never admit it.

As bad as it will be with self-isolators having a few days off, as soon as the schools shut we are properly fucked.

We are

But no requirement to pay beyond a day or two

Ideal world, I'd let it run it's course

Maybe we can't as the nhs will break but the sooner we get it and get some immunity, the better

Letting it run its course won’t be a breeze either

Your looking at even more people off ill, just in a shorter time period. The numbers off work will still mean schools shut and all that comes with it. You’d just have the added benefit of folk dying in hospital car parks as they can’t get anywhere near a bed

Youd certainly be looking at many more deaths than seasonal Flu. We’ve ve got to slow it down as best we can

Just take your laptop home and stop pretending you can’t work from home like the rest of us, no big deal

Read that bergamo mayor tweet. Too many people infected and too little hospital beds.

They are having to pick who dies and who gets treatment because their mismanagement means they are 'getting it over with'.

Juventus centre back Daniele Rugani has got it now.
