easy to blame the press and social media but i imagine she had a lot going on in her head leading up to and following the arrest that probably drove her to do what she did

I don't disagree with that; it's just I find the whole industry of this reality TV/social media stuff so very shallow and superficial that it must be very easy for some to get drawn into it and become a success within it- no doubt she flourished and had a certain level of ability.

However it's just seems to be capable of spitting folk out again and pulling the rug very quickly. Some nasty cunts behind keyboards and damage may have been done before she quit posting.

There will always be an argument for saying the CPS shouldn't have pushed it, and without knowing the full details its difficult to make a judgement. Presumably though the CPS would need evidence of illness in deciding whether someone is too sick to attend court- I guess we'll find out.

I don't disagree either but would say that more applies to the contestants not the presenters,  in her case going back to what casino said and about social media is that she has forged her tv career long before social media became what it is now, and the shows she's been on mean plenty people had heard of her

i.e. the gutter press didn't make her a star, neither did social media, whilst she happened to present some reality TV shows, it wasn't any of those things that made her, or destroyed her - imo

Ultimately it is the individual who takes the final responsibility.

Though I'd say it's the very opposite: an inability to control your own life; your own mind/feelings are uncontrollable and are inescapable.

It's a cry for help, and a way to take the pain away.
