Polish lad I used to work with was fond of Perla and always used to give 4 cans and a bag of Milka to anyone he got in Secret Santa.

Tonight's the night where all I've got left is a quarter bottle of Croatian honey brandy someone once gave me, not committed to the project yet.

According to Google there’s a polish shop 5 mins drive from me, tomorrow I shall venture out.

Watch it be a boot polish shop

Aldi had no argie malbec in. Fucking liberties.

Had to get a 7 quid Spanish full bodied number. Not bad so far.

Got an organic argie malbec for afters too. Fully expect to be a dribbling mess half way through the quiz with the outlaws later.

You’re a bad bad man Youri 😂

I am in. I’ve been told to try a polish gold ale called Perla. Cheap as fuck and 6%. Tomorrow I’m on the the hunt I’ll report back

Perla Black (Mocne) is the one you want - straddles premium and tramp strength niceley 😉.

I better start resting my liver then.

Not that I use it much these days, not to its full capabilities anyway.

Your liver is like your  appendix you don’t even need it

You can always have a slice off your close relative's as well...

Problem is, in my case, they're unrepentant pisscans too. :(

Once read that a small amount of alcohol can be beneficial in helping a liver to heal. Pretty sure I wasn't dreaming.

Seems a bit fucked up to say the least.

Apparently aldehydes do the damage - fuck up the liver, cause hangovers etc.

Now alcohol is speculated to sort of dilute the aldehydes and make process of them easier - hence hair of the dog working to a certain extent.

I used to recommend N-Acetyl Cysteine on here and elsewhere as a prophylactic before, during and after a heavy session - helps process aldehydes into harmless acetic acid - vinegar.

Made from human hair, tastes rank, never bite into a capsule.

When its hangover preventative qualities became known it went from a couple of quid a bottle in healthfood shops to £12+...

It also helps break down mucus in folk with respiratory disorders - sold in a stronger form OTC in various European countries, found this out personally in Prague,  unsurprisingly, I think the chemist knew I wasn't looking to break down mucus.

Shouldn't it be being given to covid patients?

I'd take my pharmacological tips with a pinch of salt anyway.

I used to plug Pholcodine as a surefire OTC way of getting rid of a nervous tickly cough...

Turns out if you then have to be anesthatised at any point up to two or three years after having took it you can go into respiratory arrest.

Oops.

(I used to swig it like it was going out of fashion so I'm in the same boat as other potential victims of my quackery).

Unsure if serious? :book:

Isn't Covid non-productive [of mucous]?

That was listed as an indicator previously - non-productive coughs.

Need Kent here. I'm thinking about the patients they roll onto their front to ease the lungs.

Is it not just fluid from over reaction of immune system? Or is this basically snot and phlegm.

Not scrumpy but I pointed out 18x440ml Magniers for £9 at Asda, on here and elsewhere where and not a tickle...

One pal of mine, a naysayer to this deal who drinks Thatchers like water replied "I can't drink it - it (Magniers) gives me heartburn"...

I sometimes wonder if I have to saddle back up and do in all these deals myself.

Lidl have got a nice Baden Spatburgunder pinot noir and a Tokaji dry white, both for less than a fiver.

Very very good wines for that price.

I've missed this. I shall have a mooch. Quite like magners in a massed produced kind of way.  Super session cider 👍
