Very true, and Marple is bang on, that real ale lark.... it is a fucking lark. Unless its Joey Holts 😃

Reading this thread can’t believe how much folk spend on that shite, plenty of good premium lagers about

please don’t bring holts to the table

Marples missing the point

Got 4 bottles of Biere Mapelli from Aldi. Will give them a try tomorrow when chilled.

Tonight is a bottle of red and a 100g bar of white chocolate 😁

Well, anything is better than Joey Holts shit.

Who wants the pubs to be open?

Ive seen you on Carling on the train, i know your cheapness 😉

You haven't

Once, on lime street

Just had a count up

24 units tonight

I'm guessing that's more risky than walking round burnden asda for 12 hours without a mask

It's great. Ending is divisive but I'm a fan.

Popped open a Newer World from Northern Monk (Morrisons) - didn't realise it was 7.4% but tastes every single bit of it. Blimey.

Didn’t do it for me, maybe I wasn’t in the right mood, think I was after a bit of an old fashioned jumpy flick. You’re right the ending is a bit odd.

Yep, peroni, San Miguel (although that does seem to get me hammered) and Kronenbourg are also very nice.

like a Guinness as well, but not in cans

Usually drink stella at home and have a couple of craft beers at weekend to mix it up and try a few new ones. Depends where and when i’m drinking, normally just stick to lager for a session though

Joey Holts?

Not a big fan of their draught stuff, but I picked up some of their bottled golden ales in Skipton last weekend and they weren't bad at all.

I like Joey Holts. Maple Gold is a favourite.

Had a couple of those and a couple of two Hoots.

4 for £6 in an excellent booze shop in Skipton.

That’s decent. Aldi used to sell it £1.25 a bottle until (I drank the lot) they discontinued it

Been down to Preston Market to check out the new Priest Town set up.

Playing at it - 3%, 2.55%! & 3.8%

Pointless supping IMO.....

Do some good stuff Track, as do Cloudwater

I'll only buy something at 3% as a chaser for something over 8%

Took the West Coast Pale, so not quite 2.55%.

Got plenty of boozy stuff in, these are the easier sups

On the second Beer52 virtual beer festival tonight, first one up a 7.2% IPA from the same brewery that do Jaipur. Another 11 to go, its gonna be a rough evening!

Its called Northbridge this beer, bloody great drink.

Thornbridge are an excellent brewery, they've really expanded since the days you could only find them in Derbyshire/Sheffield

Looked a smart setup on the video they did for the festival. Making me pine for the pub though.

When this is all over I'm having an afternoon session at their brewery
