I wasn't keen either tbh, front line more worthy of myself, but i've done 21 days straight, and 35 hours extra this week, so wasn't keen queuing to get some food :D

  • HBAYT?

  • Yeah, supermarket staff at massive risk for £9 an hour. Not belittling the fine efforts of our magnificent NHS, but they expect to have to deal with contagious people. Doris on the till at Morris

Is it beer time yet? Roll on 5pm 🍻

Plain flour unavailable again, and self raising just not sent, despite not being classed as unavailable.

That place at Tonge Moor called summat like Pretzel and Spelt have it and they were also doing deliveries (or were mid-week). Think I read it wasn't so much that flour wasn't available it's just it isn't getting packaged into the smaller quantities - the Tonge Moor lot were selling it in plain brown paper bags.

You’re working shifts. Time is irrelevant.

Have a beer. Don’t muck about.

We’ll send a WWays delivery if you like.

What about the rest of us? What time can we start?

We haven’t stopped

I've just been to Tesco and I'm sure everything has doubled in price . Are we being bummed here?

A lot of the offers seem to have disappeared

They did that on the pretext of stopping bulk buying! 😂

Tesco prices have gone up make no mistake, they’ll claim its due to stock levels or supply & demand - but it’s just profiteering in my eyes.

Asda used to do four hop house 13 for £6. Now it’s £2.50 each

A lot of wholesalers have wanged prices up.

Bloke in house of raja was saying even rice has been hiked.

Id guess tescos costs have increased significantly in recent weeks

Due to terrible planning not only have I got to go to Tesco today I'm also going to be outside Underpants' optimal shopping time advice. Brain's going to mush already it seems.

Even our local supermarket, which is an absolute godsend, and which is generally relatively quiet was busy earlier

God help you up there

got two trays of donner meat & chips and a 10" garlic bread with cheese last night

normally £16.50

now £19.70

so told them to keep the change

Back from Tesco, can report it wasn't busy but it's stressful enough for me to be already jumping on the bandwagon with them whites who are often reported to be "back and drinking heavily".

Time and a half on those 35 extra hours?

Was really tempted to go out and buy some bratwurst, burgers and beers but I don’t think that’s the best use of ‘basic essentials’.

Treble

4 hours on Thursday to go round Tesco in Orpington, and I hate Orpington at the best of times.

Plus, every time I go shopping seems to cost a ton, no matter what we buy (and we've already got three freezers which are pretty full)

Still, petrol is dead cheap and I'm saving loads at the moment

no wonder the NHS is skint.

For info, morrisons are offering 10% discount to all NHS staff from tomorrow on production of a valid ID.
