Cheltenham (a)

Second in the table. Strong, physical side with set pieces a real strength.

Can only see 90 minutes of chaos at the back for us.

Thumping defeat for us.

Gutted we missed the Stevenage win, but total lockdown meant we had to be sensible.

But at least we’ve seen this one.

Just got home and putting my Y fronts on. Brilliant going again - we even sang when they were coming off and really pissed the Cheltenham lot off

How’d you get tickets?

Was fucking ace seeing that, made things feel normal for a while. Superb effort boys 👍👍👍

Well done to everyone who made the effort .
We were hanging on last twenty minutes but a last minute snatch and grab away from home doesn’t come round often

Just brilliant!! Fucking absolutely brilliant!! It never, ever happens for us does it? Deep injury time. Always our end. Never their end. Two really depressing defeats and then this. We weren’t good in all honesty but like last time we were in Div 4 it’s results like this that gets us out of here

That’s a real fucking result. Get in!!

Agree with the sentiment - nothing better, apart from actually being there.  But unbelievably that's our 3rd last minute significant goal in the last 2 months, that's got to be a first for many years.  Barrow and Mansfield the other 2.  All night matches too.

I am fairly local so got ours online - fair play to their stewards because they knew we were Bolton after about 5 minutes but said nothing

Defended for our lives tonight, with all those corners, long throws etc

real bodies on the line and go and nick it.

just brilliant.

only 12 off top now - a very strange league

Know what an effort you and junior have made this season; absolute fair play. Deserved that last min winner alot. I’m at home and still buzzing so can’t imagine how you feel. Happy days 👏🏼👏🏼

Funny reading back. :)

Fine win that.

Still maintain that he plays like one of the celebs that gets a run out at soccer aid. Not sure Evatt helped him by sticking him at left wing back, and the result doesn’t change my mind that there were better options to play there.

Having said that, that sounds far too negative after that win, I’m buzzing! As Jules said, a proper away performance. We could have been a couple up within the first half an hour, kept solid, never looked properly troubled, coped with all their long throws and then nicked it at the end - we even saw out the 5(!!!) mins of injury time really well.

Must say, I wasn’t convinced that Thomason can play in a midfield without someone like Tutte mopping up behind him, but he had a great game today and I thought he was just about man of the match - a really professional performance. Also good to see Santos back to form and Isgrove was a definite improvement on Crawford. I still think we’re under-utilising Sarce but it’s needs must with the current midfield options.

Best win of the season and only 3 points off the play-offs.

We were a bit juicy to win that .Delaney was shite the whole second half giving away throwins like there was no tomorrow.God he’s clumsy .Greenidge was bad but Mascoll eclipsed him for jogging about doing fuck all. That left side is diabolical .

Showed some grit though & Santos had a blinder. That throwin routine is a shocking tactic Effective though it must be.We have  superior forwards in this league but can’t seem to capitalise   & Isgrove although he faded a bit played well.

The non-wingback wingbacks are our biggest liability and I just can’t understand why Evatt perseveres with it , if we had any wingbacks (Kioso apart) it would probably work. All that short passing around our own box adds up to sweet FA.

Thought Thomason did ok again. His delivery is better than Crawford.

Anyway there’s nowt better than a scabby last minute win.

Get the Jack Daniels out.

Harsh to single Delaney out the back 3 won lots of ball. As did Delfonso on a few chucks into the box.
Keeper did will too coming and taking the ball under pressure. Could not help wonder what that would be like with Crellin in there.
Greenidge is 4 th choice at left wing back so again hard to blame him for only being as talented as he is.
Not sure when last time was we battled so hard for a win.
Also let’s not forget we could have had 3 in first half. Isgrove should score , Fonz on the turn and the shot Doyle pulled across goal.

Thomassons ball that was cut out just before doyle headed it at the keeper was the highlight of the match, bar the goal

Hes a proper talent at this level

Theres something about a left footer

You could see Doyle’s appreciation for how close to being amazing that was. There’s not many in our squad that would think of crossing from that position, never mind be able to pull it off - he’s far from the finished article but you can definitely tell that he’s got something.

Get in

What’s the secret pal, what was the pre match superstition?

Great result after being backs to the wall for a lot of the second half.

Can't condone fans travelling so far from a Tier 3 to watch the game though. That's pretty irresponsible IMO.
