Eight people, including six Asian women, were killed in shootings at three different businesses in Atlanta and Acworth, Georgia, on Tuesday, according to local police. A male suspect was arrested and charged with several counts of murder on Wednesday, police said. At a press conference in Atlanta on Wednesday, authorities identified the four victims killed in Cherokee County.

You really do not understand this mate. In a civil court you do not need conclusive proof. The jury decide if the case is probably true. So having listened to all the evidence a jury have found he was probably guilty. Can not get sent to prison but has to pay damages.

But you must admit it’s a bit bizarre. There doesn’t seem to be much, if any evidence. Some People who have been randomly picked for the jury decide it’s probably happened then bang you’re hit with a 5 million fine.

From what I have read it was Donald's deposition that fucked him over. Surprisingly he could not stop himself mouthing off. 
The jury having heard all the evidence have found him guilty. We have heard snippets. 
He was asked about the 'pussy grabbing' comment and it was just banter but then went to say but it was true that stars (he confirmed he was a star of course) have been able to that for  'millions of years' and then added 'unfortunately of fortunately' at the end.

So stars like me have fortunately been able to get away with this for years ! 
That is a bizarre thing to say, his own legal team argued he had acted as 'a witness against himself' in his deposition. So the jury decided it was probable that he had at least grabbed her but were not convinced that it was probable he raped her.

He said he did not know her and she was not his type but when shown a picture of them together he confused her for his ex wife ! 

As usual people will blame everyone but Donald (not saying you are btw) but if was all a big set up why find him not guilty of the biggest charge of rape ? 
 

No way would it have been proven in court of law IMO but given his deposition can totally see why this went the way it did. I never expected it would.

Saw an interview last night with a chap who'd worked with both Bush and Clinton administrations and he was very balanced.

He found the defamation verdict bizarre given that they themselves had not found him guilty of rape.

However he spoke at length about the tapes: he was surprised they were allowed to be submitted, even in a civil case, and said that that will probably allow for an appeal, however he was also extremely critical of the language Trump used and his doubling down of it in his deposition.

The arguments being made however are that the legal system itself is not acting independently.

Blimey - and I thought folkj defending staurday's actions were getting a bit unhinged.

It'll be interesting to see as western democracies move away from Populist ideologies how those who leapt on that bandwagon find themselves politically as these ideas are pushed to the fringes.

As Bolty has already alluded to they'll probably find homes in the very fringe parties, sniping from the sidelines and as that generation moves on I wonder how the younger generations unpick some of the divisions that have be wrought over the last 10 years.

Previous complainants will have been either paid off or tied up in legal issues and costs.  Whilst he's probably not at the levels of Bill Cosby, Harvey Weinstein abuse, I've no doubt this latest case is merely the top of a very big iceberg.

Also the lady had 2 witnesses on the stand, trump brought no one, just his deposition which was a car crash
