Is it kicking off big time or is this just everyday stuff they deal with or a bit of both?

Nobody. But that’s what Hamas wanted to happen, they are sick people.

Perhaps, but those who know best are still hollering for a ceasefire

Hamas' position won't have changed

We need a concerted effort to take out folk like him and other top dogs at hamas

Not just blanket bombings of everything Gaza

Then things might calm down, for a bit

It's most certainly not blanket bombing.

Savage yes, but nothing like it would be in a deliberate attempt to completely level the place.

I believe this is called the luxury of distance - both time and geography.

If you acknowledge the wests (and specifically the UKs) part in the formation of the Palestine Mandate, and the issues that have arisen from this then it feels slightly problematic to withdraw from this situation on a interantional dimplomatic level.

There is no diplomacy though is there? From anybody?

The West is providing military support, arms, bombs, aircraft and huge sums of cash to Israel only and pretending to ask them to reconsider using it.

An MP was sacked yesterday for asking for a Ceasefire, as it's not the "direction that the government wants to take in this conflict" - In other words, we are actively encouraging the Israeli bombing campaign because we can make $$ out of it.

To not want a ceasefire is plain bonkers.

Indeed, they're apparently supplying the majority of missles to Hamas aren't they?  -  the fact that so very many of them seem to be easily smuggled into Gaza is pretty shocking. Surely the CIA as advanced as it is, must be spotting when thousands of missiles are being shipped out of Iran (and they will surely know how many and when, as they'll  have spy drones and satellites permanently hovering over the state)

I also heard on the radio the other day, and of course it might be bollocks, but they intimated that the top brass of Hamas all live a life of protected luxury in Qatar  -  if that is true, then it really is shocking.

I'm no conspiracy nut, but it's not difficult to see why the US would want Iranian missiles entering Gaza. For each one Iran sell to Hamas, the Yanks will sell a hundred more to Israel. They'll know exactly how many are going in, as will Israel, but the more the merrier as far as US is concerned! They get no casualties and all the profit

To want a ceasefire is completely crazy.

The MP was suspended, I think, by Labour, so not Government.

It was Paul Bristow, a Tory ministerial aide

It is, but, to be fair, most people advocating for it don't understand what it'd mean in reality

this is the aftermath bombing of a refugee camp which has been the target of strikes for 2 days in a row

apparently it's going after 1 man, who apparently hides in tunnels under the camps

apparently it killed 120 and injured 400, mostly woman and children

i do hope they got the 1 man they were aiming for
