They're so alike, ffs.

You spend much of your time on here moaning about our government and will no doubt do your bit to try and remove them out of office. Perfectly reasonable.

That's you taking responsibility.

Which begs the question why would you bother, if others shouldn’t, especially given they don't have a democracy and are in a much worse place because of it?

A truly bizarre view of things.

my view bizarre?

from the bloke who offers an alternate reality whenever the tories get shown to be shit :)

i'll ask again

why should a (brainwashed, scottish) muslim take any responsibility for what hamas did, any more than i'm responsible for mounts voting for brexit

Those parents are cunts.

indeed

though having listened to 3 weeks of terrified jews ringing LBC about how they cant venture out or go to school, id be surprised if they could turn a full team out, so i'll take the tale with a pinch of salt

The club associated with the parent involved has issued a statement confirming investigations are ongoing and affirming that "If you, as parents, harbour prejudice of any kind that could affect your child's experience or our culture of inclusively, then we must be honest - this may not be the right club for you" so it appears at least something has gone on

You seem a bit incredulous that Jewish people may currently be feeling a heightened sense of intimidation and I'm not sure why

The story came from a chap involved with the Jewish Chronicle.

Casino can take as much salt as he wants to, but it doesn't make the story untrue.

Seems to be a much bigger level of antisemitism around, which is now creeping out all over.

Jewish people are indeed currently feeling a heightened sense of intimidation.

Guess what, so are innocent Palestinians.

Let's go round in circles again. Hamas are cunts, Israel is behaving cuntishly, a ceasefire needs bringing about.

I'm referring to Jewish people in this country

For all the suffering the Palestinian diaspora is experiencing, there is little, if any, serious or credible threat of violence against them in the UK

The same, clearly, does not hold true for Jews

Was just going to say, does anyone know of any Palestinians over here getting a hard time?

No.

Just read an article in the Chronicle by Josh Howie.

Getting abuse whilst travelling- nothing will happen, and the Palestinian support is getting a free pass over here.

Hope I'm wrong, but I can see a huge kick off- maybe here or another country, which could see unrest spread all over.

Can even see a situation whereby these COBRA meetings are having to draw up worst case scenario plans.

4m Muslims, less than 300,000 Jews, means it’s much easier to attack one group and not so the other.

I think that when you read the Police's response and the context that it makes sense why they did what they did.

Sadly it will have already gone viral and most won't have gone back and listened to the response. The problem with social media I guess.

An interesting one

I'd think it defensible if the justification were that it was targetted harassment, which it might plausibly be argued to be

On the basis they should be removed "to stop issues escalating and to avoid any further increase in community tension", less so

Like I said. Those protesting over here - knobs

What a bizarre concept.

Grown up school bullies, absolutely nobody in that restaurant has anything to do with the atrocities over there. They're blissfully unaware that it's probably a franchise too..

Instead they have just wrecked the evening of everyone in there, with no gain themselves.

Again this bully boy mentality.

Of all the shite I’ve read in these topics/ threads, calling McDonalds a restaurant is definitely in the top 3

Extremist Israeli settlers in the West Bank, emboldened by recent events have stepped up their persecution and murder of Palestinian farmers living in the area, driving them off their homeland.
West Bank Palestinian villages have been denied planning permission to build homes, schools and hospitals by the occupiers for years and have had to endure settlers cutting off their electricity and water and having their roads blocked but now the messianists have taken the law into their own hands and are shooting farmers and openly stealing their land with the support of the right wing government. Anyone resisting being forced off their land is accused of supporting Hamas and arrested.

In a rare direct condemnation of the violence, President Biden said last week that attacks by “extremist settlers” amounted to “pouring gasoline” on fires already burning. “It has to stop,” he said. “They have to be held accountable.”

It will be interesting to see how the Israel government deals with this it should arrest and put them on trial, if it does not then the Israeli government is culpable in the same way the that Palestinian government is for the massacres by Hamas.

An Israeli minister was interviewed about it on Channel 4 last night and if his answers to questions are anything to go by, I wouldn't be hopeful.

There is no proper Palistinian government. The closest to one is the PA which is mainly Fatah and has limited power in the occupied West Bank only.

Hamas controls Gaza and rules as a dictatorship, killing anyone opposed to them.

The PA is in no way culpable for Hamas.
