Meanwhile in Israel

Is it kicking off big time or is this just everyday stuff they deal with or a bit of both?

To want folk to stop killing other folk is crazy?

Blimey

You know that isn’t my view, and you know it isn’t true.

Proper jolly boys.

No women or kids (obvs)

No colours and No runners.

Dump the shisha pipes before they come off motorway.

Has anybody here ever gone on a march to try and get something stopped? - I'm not sure I know anybody who has (or who would admit they have) although having said that, most people I know have jobs and aren't trouble causers or weirdos

You are allowed to have a job and still do things that aren't work-related.

I know.

Have you ever been on a march? - I'm just trying to find anybody willing to admit they have, like I said, I'm not sure I've ever known anybody who has been on one, now bearing in mind that allegedly around 1.5M people went on this "stop the war" one a few years ago, then that's more than one in fifty people in the UK, which is a huge number, and I don't know a single person who has ever mentioned they went on it (I'm not expecting them to shout about it, but I'd have thought it may have slipped out at some point)

As a student, I went on a few of these trips as cheap travel to London.

Never went on the marches, though.

No, but I've booked days off work to do non-work-related things plenty of times. I assume that's what a lot of people who attend marches do too.

You'd probably get a better response if you asked if anyone on here has ever been on an EDL/FLA/BNP march, rather than an anti-war one...

I know someone who went on a number of poll tax protests. He also time in Strangeways for refusing to pay it.

Kent did.

As a stauch Blairite, I did not.

Never been on a march, perfer my politics in meetings - like tonight. The first meeting of the newly formed Bromley and Biggin Hill CPP (the boundary changes mean we've been moved from Bromley and Beckenham) at the reform church.

Is the correct view!

Yes, when I was about 13 to protest against Barratt's building on Birtenshaw. I only went because there was a girl I fancied who I'd heard was up for a bit of fingering.

I never fingered her AND Barratt's ending up building on there. Complete waste of time.

Wasn't Miami fond of traipsing round random towns with Tommy Ten Names and his mates protesting against groomers that had already been arrested?

I joined in the McFarland out protest on the BP car park after we lost at home to Coventry in December 1995

and then he got sacked

so I've got a 100% record as far as protests are concerned

"Who's the fattest bastard in Coventry" 😄

Don't think I've ever signed a petition either

I did 2 when I was a student. I was steward on a coach going down with a group of lads who were on the piss. Lad got a blow job on back seat ( of a girl) , another drink a pint of piss, 3 of them went streaking on stage at the end of the march, introduced themselves as University of Bradford Men's group.

The lad who drank the piss is the brother of someone very up in the world of Rugby League.

It was a very good day out, but I think the Government still cut grants.

Aye

Once gave up his Saturday to go guard a statue (against nobody).

 And he’s got a job.

this is the aftermath bombing of a refugee camp which has been the target of strikes for 2 days in a row

apparently it's going after 1 man, who apparently hides in tunnels under the camps

apparently it killed 120 and injured 400, mostly woman and children

i do hope they got the 1 man they were aiming for

Absolutely not.

More than happy to just moan about shite on a third division football club’s messageboard

That coach will stink.

I always think if you have time to go on marches then your not busy enough. I couldn’t think of anything worse to do in my free time. Sister went on the poll tax many moons ago

Last Saturday, I coincidentally walked in the opposite direction past the march along Deansgate and St. Peter’s St. It was noticeable that the people in the bars, cafe’s and pedestrians along the route didn’t give a shit. Including the patrons of Alberts Schloss where I eventually ended up.
The media lap it up though.
