Israeli forces always strike me as being very professional, but it seems they were caught out today. Which in a way could be worse for the Palestinians, as some major retribution is on the cards.

It's really bad and going to get even worse by the sounds of it.

I follow a couple of journalists who know a damn sight more than most about the situation with Palestine and Israel and they fear the worst.

Talk of reprisals on Palestinians living in Israel. Even mass removals being suggested.

As for the targeting of Hamas military installations afterwards, I do wonder why they weren't taken out beforehand if they knew where they were. Might have prevented the initial rocket attacks.

you know like G7 or climate change ,even a conference will do

Make it somewhere nice n posh , warm n expensive , so they all turn up

Then get all , and i mean all , the religious lot into said venue and ask them to explain why their religion should have any meaning in the world we live.

Think about it with a proper summit of politicians and religious leaders then talking to an almighty TOGETHER all world problems could be solved.

I don't care for what you're saying microwave head but the most advanced F-16s ever fielded are currently laying waste to thousands of square miles of desert and it makes for some incredible footage.

Catching up with more of the news about this today, some of the stories and footage is astounding and horrendous. How did this happen without them knowing something big was about to go down?

Be interesting to see if the situation would be better if you take religion away. As with the troubles that started in Derry, there are complex, deep rooted issues at play that can't simply be explained by Protestant vs Catholic / Muslim vs Judaism etc. 

But I agree, the innocent on both sides deserve a life that isn't dictated by religious leaders. 

Problem is that events such as this only breed more hate and division. There are some very deluded extremists on both sides who use religion to justify their actions. I do wonder if deep down these people (Hamas, the extreme Zionists) aren't even religious. It's just an excuse.
