Covid-19

Slow news day, or end of the world?

”Aggressive” new variant has landed in Moscow. Makes people, even those that have been vaccinated, more poorly than previous types.

Time for Uncle Joe to push the button? Short term pain.

Alexandre DeFeffal Sulaiman Pettigrew Boris Johnson got it on purpose then feigned symptoms of an extreme case - not hard to achieve as he already favvered 'a saggy, old cloth cat, baggy, and a bit loose at the seams...'

He got it on purpose so he could look folk dying for want of a respirator (whilst a hoover salesman pal tinkered in his garage) 'in the face'.

Like when The Luftwaffe clipped a bit of the servants' quarters at Buckingham Palace (when The King and Queen were at Balmoral) and it allowed the then Queen to look Eastenders who'd lost everything (including family) in The Blitz 'in the face'...

I don't agree with much of what Youri suggests, but I'm also in the "Boris never had proper Covid" camp.

Always seemed like a PR stunt at the time, like much of what he does.

Im getting there mate thanks. oxygen seems better..tired all the time and breathless though.

You’ll get there.

It’s kind of like lingering on in the background for me, like an annoyance.

My asthma has been a right cunt since Covid. I used to only need a blem on my preventer once a morning and hardly ever needed my ventolin. Now I am on two morning and night and keep my ventolin with me as I use it several times a day.

Do you not use salbutamol?

nah dog, he looked cooked. Early on in the event, no 'theraputics', etc. not fully anglo bloodline so less plague survivors in his genealogy...

whatever the reason. he looked ill.

the staged bullshit were people in china "suddenly" dying of it at the traffic lights.

chinese autism cant comprehend theory of mind.

its why they lose wars to japan.

Yeah, ventolin is salbutamol, the blue one.

Hardly ever used it before I got Covid end of October

He's always looked like he needed some vitamin D.

There must have been many nurses, doctors and other medical professionals looking after him. To say it was a political stunt is an insult to them.

Although if it was a stunt no-one would have been looking after him so no insult to anyone.

Apart from every member of the general public that is.

Except he was in hospital with folk looking after him.

Dozens of mps have had it- is it one huge conspiracy the world over to dupe us all, with random members of the public being "disappeared" to make the death toll?

Not at all. I just don't think he was as ill as he has made out.

I don't do conspiracy theories, but the fuckwit is an out and out liar.

He was in ICU. Maybe some of our health professionals on here could explain how someone could fake an illness to such an extent and get away with it.

Your second paragraph may be correct. It has no relevance to the first.

He was in ICU?
Possibly, but didn't a senior person at St Thomas' say he shouldn't have been?

He didn't go on a ventilator, despite being an overweight mid-50's male ie prime Covid vulnerability
He didn't receive CPAP
He was in and out of ICU within 3 days and within a couple of days of leaving hospital was snapped strolling the grounds of Chequers.

Yeah, he got Covid, but I'm not having it that he was anywhere near as bad as has been made out.

Not defending him as such, and it was so long ago that I can’t remember, but was it perhaps both sides jumping on it for political gain? Those who like him telling everyone what a trooper he is. Those who hate him telling everyone he’s a cunt for taking up a hospital bed

Dunno. Just a thought

I suspect traf is correct that johnson didnt have it that bad

But, it was early days and hes the PM

Hes definitely going to receive better care than the rest of us and im sure they would err on the side of caution

That’s what I thought at the time.

Quivering shitstack though he is, unfortunately as our leader he has to be over protected.

Not everyone in intensive care was put on a ventilator.

That was only if needed.

Burnden has just been in intensive care iirc, but no ventilator.

https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.bbc.com/news/uk-52192604.amp

This article doesn't describe how severe his condition was, other than his condition had worsened so admitted to intensive care.

The vast majority in his demographic were put on ventilators when admitted to ICU at that stage of the pandemic or had cpap.

Not all then.

Not going to get into an argument about it- suffice to say if his situation was overplayed then the press would have been all over it.

Moreover without actually knowing the full situation, it's a bit sad to make such suggestions.

If he dropped down dead in front of me I still wouldn't believe him.

The lying, bumbling clagnut.

It's my opinion and I'm entitled to it.

I don't belittle yours, don't belittle mine.

I get going for a zero covid policy when there's no vaccines or testing, but if that's still the aim when theirs vaccines and testing available going on, can understand the unrest

quick look at that thread suggests 1/3 cases are linked to construction as half of the construction sites aren't following even the most basic of regulations
