Covid-19

Slow news day, or end of the world?

”Aggressive” new variant has landed in Moscow. Makes people, even those that have been vaccinated, more poorly than previous types.

Time for Uncle Joe to push the button? Short term pain.

I eat boneless KFC buckets and McDonald's.

EFA.

The amount of grown adults with the palate of a toddler. I know people who turn their nose up at whole fish, the head is the best bit of a cod. These people eat pig rectum in sausage rolls from paedo owned Greggs.

We used to have sheep’s brain on toast as kids.

I became vegetarian and did all my own cooking when I was twelve, I realised what stuff my mum was dishing up. I think my brains were served up on toast - brown Hovis iirc. I relented and went back to normality when I started getting pissed and bacon butties, meat laden pizza and kebabs came back on the menu.

I still have a lazy smorgasbord of various pastes on toast occasionally - on Warbies white or the Lidl/Aldi Knockoff version - which fit in the toaster and don't require switching.

Salmon, Beef and Tuna paste, guilty pleasure, I'm hankering after offal now. not had tripe since I was a kid, might nip up to Fraser's and get some.

Liver- rank

Kidney- fine

Tripe- can't seem to get it now, goes into dog food.

If you know how to cook nowt is rank.

When I began to turn my nose up at her food she'd say "you'll eat shit with sugar on when you're hungry" and i'd dismiss her.

When I moved out at nineteen I realised though I'd draw the line at eating shit, when skint I'd eat pretty much anything, even haslet.

Same here.

Black pudding, Sausages, Haggis, Kidneys, Liver etc - love it all, i just don’t make a habit of eating it often.

They were definitely called dinner bags at lower school Rivi.

Yep, I concur.

Surely dinner ladies are/were universally known as dinner bags??

Aye, but I thought it was always Cuppies and not Wembley Doubles so who knows

Is the muscle an organ?

Technically, yes.

Only with fava beans and a fine Chianti, fss fss fss fss.

Went to a curry house in Matlock donkey's years ago, and it was the only one I've ever seen with "kidney vindaloo" on the menu.

Did all the waiters have a slight yellow tinge to their skin?

I like kidney

But livers off my menu since I had a very spongy one

Never, ever again

Liver, kidney, offal, brain, heart, etc are not for me. That said I have never tried haggis and I do like a slice of black pudding every now and again.

By the way, on the subject of shite meat, what is the cheapest cut/organ to make some dog food with?

Get frozen pet mince or chunks from a pet shop. Used in the barf diet.

Lots of places doing it now- I used to go to widnes and buy in bulk, but now use All breeds or the new one round the corner (they have another shop too on COR)

Chicken and turkey are the cheapest ones depending upon brand.

The raw pet food shop has its own label which are cheaper than brands, and are the same price I think.

Albion and other brand at All breeds on Tonge Moor Road have a range of prices according to product. "Game" ones like wild boar and venison are more expensive though not hugely.

We get quite a bit of stuff with tripe and some hearts too. Plenty of fish as well.

Long covid

Seems it’s a thing.

Im having a few days where my lungs feel like a pair of rusty old bellows. Assumed that was my age.

But my lad is now saying he’s fucked after 40 minutes at football, before Covid he could run all night and barely notice.

Shit is what it is.

My asthma has been shite since getting covid back in October 2020. I am still on double my usual dose of steriod inhaler and go through my blue one every month where before they would last 6 months.

No shit!

You didn't have to get it to belive it.

You've had a bout of a nasty virus and any such infection can leave you fucked for a good while.
