Covid-19

Slow news day, or end of the world?

”Aggressive” new variant has landed in Moscow. Makes people, even those that have been vaccinated, more poorly than previous types.

Time for Uncle Joe to push the button? Short term pain.

You've hit the nail on the head there.... Choice! Everyone should & does have the right to decide what medical treatment they wish to embrace or not. My Mrs feels that given the nature of these vaccinations & the haste in which they were brought out she would rather take her chances without.

Heard one from an anti-vaxer I work with. He thinks the scientists have created the vaccine far too quickly for it to be completely safe.

He’s too scared of what he calls the “unknown  side effects” to be comfortable about having it injected into his arm.

I advised him to ignore the unknown side effects of having the vaccine and look at the known side effect of not having it; potentially death!

Potentially but extremely unlikely for most people.

As is thrombosis or any of the other suspected side effects listed. You can’t pooh-pooh one set of possible side effects but treat those on the other side as gospel.

Where have I done either? What I have done & always will is question anything that the Government & media force feed us & with good reason given their past indiscretions.

What age is he and does he have any vulnerabilities.

Probably not.

Careful mate, you'll be called a tinfoil hatter by the usual suspects 😁

You do know this vaccine hasn’t been made from scratch out of ingredients they found in a bin, don’t you?

I knew fuck all about vaccines this time a year ago, but like many others have been doing some reading up. Turns out that the base for this vaccine has been around for donkeys years - flu vaccine for example. It’s simply a case of adding the sequence from the specific strain of virus (Covid 19 in this case) and you have your result.

Not that most anti-vaxxers give a fuck, they just crave the attention and special status they think comes with baaa-ing along with the other m0ngs.

Still, each to their own. I met a bloke yesterday who described The Beatles as a Buddy Holly tribute band.

Pro Choice if you don't mind.

So we are basically saying this is a flu strain? And it affects mainly the old & infirm? And the vast majority of people may be unaware if they actually catch it? And to all intents & purposes it's under control? But there will be variant upon variant?..... Looks like this lockdown mullarkey will be going on for a lot longer than you imagine.

If those in positions of power don't feel threatened enough to follow their own guidelines then why are we still having this charade? I'm with you, let's get back to normal.... But I won't hold my breath of throw away my masks for a while yet.

The g7 meeting?

What did they do that folk up and down the land arent doing?

Groups in your back garden, smaller groups indoors. What social distancing measures do we reckon everyone is employing during these get togethers?

The absolutely fuck all measure without doubt.

How many visitors do we know are tested before they come round?

G7 leaders on the other hand were and vaccinated.

Worth a quick peruse.

So I've had both vaccinations, (Pfizer) in Spain, i have a qr code on my phone to proof it. I'm flying to England next week. I have a test booked in Spain before I fly. I've got 2 tests booked in England for day 2 and day 8 and still have to isolate for 10 days. The difference is I'm not a world leader of a footballer. Just a bloke trying to abide by the rules, not openly flaunting them and getting away with it.

The usual Facebook scientists have spent the last week comparing G7 and ascot photos to photos of a couple of primary school kids in masks. With some text along the lines of “it’s always about them...the elite”

Since when have primary school kids had to wear masks and when has anyone had to wear them outside?

So you’re ok with the extremely unlikely scenario that you may die from Covid but you aren’t ok with the unlikely scenario that you may develop a life threatening reaction to the jab?

first 50k+ crowd in England since last March and it’s to watch 4 sets of Jonathan Foreigners.

I'm fine with my chances against covid. I choose not not have the vaccination because that is my choice just as I wouldn't have the flu jab when I'm eligible. I'm perfectly at ease with anyone who does have the jab as is their right. My wife prefers her chances without the jab due to her condition much as in the way she chose her own path in treating her RA after doing her research.

Boltondiver. Dementia UK please 😁

Sturgeon not easing lockdown until 9th August. And they’ll  still vote for her the silly bastards.

Can't come to the northwest, but thousands from Glasgow welcome to go on the piss in London.

They're going home tonight anyway, so no more mass departures.
