Fucking love rancid.

The Interrupters are amongst my favourite bands of the moment and are basically Rancid if Tim Armstrong was a lass.

6 quid for the weekend with camping and parking! You'd not get much change from 300 quid these days.

Still got a ticket stub.  Free Trade Hall from 1973... Front Stalls, Deep Purple plus Nazareth 37.5p (7/6)

Different world

Not as much edge as Operation Ivy/Rancid etc but that means fuck all really, saw them at the Ritz a couple of years ago and they were brilliant live.

Should have been watching James right now. Instead I'm at home. Kids are asleep, drinking beer and eating pizza. Rock and indeed roll.

Are you sure they’re asleep if they’re drinking beer and eating pizza?

😁😁

I can't believe I've got another gig on Friday. Too old for this - I'm still knackered today and I was tucked up in bed by 1.30 on Saturday.

Seems like Guns N Roses have cancelled Glasgow - not surpised, he said he was struggling on Sat and cut the set short but to be fair put on a good show but didn't/couldn't sing the last two songs and admitted as much.

Right - time to stick this on in preperation for Friday...

Chemical Brothers at* the San Siro tonight, it's 36 degrees this will end badly.

*well, the park next to it.

I'm fretting about what to wear for Saturday. Reckons 32 degrees in London.

I can see me being cabbaged and missing Pearl Jam due to sunstroke

Just bought some factor 50, and I've got a cowbody hat which everyone hates but stops the sunburn.....so fuck em. Still swithering on shorts or not.

Hyde park is a fucker, just nowhere to get any shade.

Been baking for a week here - front lawn grass is like straw....mrs was in town yesterday and it's not nice when it gets this hot.

This is one of them you book in the middle of a horrible winters night and think yes this will me mint. And you get to the day and realise you're going to fry 🤣

We didn't book it - our friends did as a gift for us, and they're coming down from Edinburgh, one is as bald as they come - I'm worried for them!

Hyde Park is shit though, you either fry or get soaked.

The Strokes in Lytham tomoz. Fontaines DC, Wet Leg and The Lounge Society also on the bill.

Are there not loads of trees to hide under?

Not where the concert is - you walk through them to a massive open field with the stage at one end.

It's frying time....

Take a brolly. If it rains, no issue. If it’s sunny, tell it it’s a parasol.

Me neither - I burn in drizzle.

The good news is that its only a short walk from Victoria and loads of nice places to eat and drink before going in.
