Good luck - sounds like a sweaty one

I think it could be!

It doesn't have aircon

It'll be rancid in there.

But, you know, Prodigy. So you have to go.

Be weird without Keith though

can't be having someone else doing Firestarter and Breathe

they may as well just leave them out the set list

if you think Prodigy will be sweaty, Pixies are playing Band On The Wall later

think they only announced it yesterday, or very recently

capacity is 340

that would've been a good one to go to

Kasabian at the Academy about 10 years ago was the best but hottest gig I ever went to. Had been in the low 30's all day and they oversold the venue...it was rammed even as far back as the bar near the entrance.

When they did Club Foot I don't think I touched the floor for 3 minutes. The sweat was coming off the ceiling like rain.

I stupidy wore a leather jacket, and kept it on for the duration, in the mosh pit

after the gig had to go back to the hotel and shower / change clothes

I had to read that twice before realising it was Spider that posted it and not me! Could easily have been my word-for-word account.

FNM gigs are the hottest ever! Saw them at International I & II many years ago and then in Glasgow. And it was stupidly hot at all 3.

Anyone who was there that night will remember the heat.

The red stripe was basically a cup of fizzy Jamaican tea 🥵

They now serve ale in 2 pint pots at the Academy. Imagine one of those that’s started to go warm…. Fuck me that’d be a test of your love for alcohol.

It was a good gig. Fuck me, it was hot. Walls and floors were awash.  Glad we were up on the Balcony rather than in the Mosh.

They did Firestarter as an instrumental and had the lazer outline. As I say, it was good but Keef was missed. Badly missed.

Got my tickets for Springsteen at Hyde Park today.

Never been a massive fan - got into him a few years ago and loving his stuff now, its one performer I want to see.

Didn't bother with Dylan - seen him twice and it's never been great. Keep it to the records now for me.

I got into Springsteen relatively late a mate lent me Tunnel of love after id had a bad break up . The album really helped me at the time been a big  fan ever since

Naughty Bruce has got into trouble as they are dynamically pricing the tickets, so you go on, click through to wait and tickets are £100 and then by the time you get to the page they are double the price as they are selling out.

TM are saying its to prevent third party sites. What they mean is, its to prevent third party sites taking revenue from us.

I got them for £100 each and decided to do a pay off at £17 a month - which seems reasonable.

The reason folk are complaining is that Pearl Jam don't allow TM to do dynamic pricing, and so people are asking Brucie why he is allowing it.

Anyway now got Dinosaur Jr, Ministry and Springsteen in the bag.

Slowly ticking off the bands I want to see.

Would love to see Radical Face, his Family Tree albums are some of the best I've heard but he never tours.

Tempted by Anthrax at Brixton, cheaper than Machine Head it seems.

Then holidng out for Pantera.

One of those where i have to separate the art from the artist. Phil 'White Power' Anselmo and the bands long standing use of the confederate flag puts me off but then I hear that riff at the start of Cowboys From Hell and suddenly all the bollocks can be ignored.

Yeah my feeling as well, sad like but the music was so good.
