July 25, 20224 yr Loads of cheep 241 tickets here for gigs as part of the National Lottery's Revive programme to get people out to see live music again in smaller venues who were massively hit during the pandemic. Loads of good bands playing venues they wouldn't normally; https://guides.ticketmaster.co.uk/revive-live/
July 28, 20224 yr Might have a couple of spares for Afflecks Palace & Pastel tomorrow night at Academy 2. They played a sold out show at the King Tuts in Glasgow last night, sounded like a right old banger! DM me if interested.

Never been in before. Proper pre-gig venue, all old posters on the wall, DJ banging out loads of old tunes – including Master of Puppets!! Bands were very good last night. Pastel headlined in the end and will be MASSIVE. Mark my words.
August 2, 20224 yr Oh and also - Fergus McCreadie. I'm not a Jazz fan - but this album deserves a listen; the jazz parts stear is away from the worst part of Einaudi style drivel.
August 4, 20224 yr Loving The Crooks from Chesterfield on Spotify. Thing is, they’ve disappeared off the face of the earth since around mid-late last year. Odd. Got some incredible songs and had some hefty listens on Spotify.
August 15, 20224 yr Got New Model Army at our local village hall a week on Saturday which could be interesting saw them in the 80s just before the thunder and consolation album came out had a look at recent set lists still playing five tracks from that album 😐 .

September 3, 20223 yr Been some random shit on this Taylor Hawkins gig so far! I’m probably being a bit disrespectful to some of the artists on show. Edited September 3, 20223 yr by Smiley
September 4, 20223 yr I seen Lottery Winners have had to leave their tour supporting Embrace, sounds a bit odd. Any idea what's gone on @Leyther_Matt?

Apparently the lead singer was getting a bit full of himself and they over ran their slot last night. But also, Embrace have replaced them with someone who is a relative of their lead singer (I think), but it’s all a bit odd.

I think Rock City has earlier than normal curfews as they have club nights after gigs there so could understand the venue getting arsey about timings, but from the limited stuff I've seen it was Embrace staff clearing them off and not being very friendly about it. The thought of having a club night on in the after a gig is grim as well, love it as a venue but a proper sweat box.
