Ten club have shade...

Bus from Blackpool to Lytham was a joke. Missed Lounge Society and wasn't arsed about Wet Leg so had a few in Queens Hotel as my mate had texted from inside saying it was £6.50 for Carlsberg and £6.80 for Somersby. Paid less in most places in London at weekend. Didn't bother trying to sneak spirits in so ended up using the bars and eventually paying £30 for a bottle of wine before The Strokes came on. Mug. Fontaines DC were great as usual (although Grian's agitated stage presence is starting to annoy me) and The Strokes were really good and Casablancas will be cool as fuck whatever he wears anywhere, ever. Hated Lytham Festival as a venue though. VIP bits made it feel like you were at the races and the whole layout was shite. Not to mention the outrageous prices at the bar. Bus back into Blackpool now. Uncle is steaming but a few places open til 4. Goodnight.

Did the Piece Hall in Halifax on Tuesday evening. Was pleasantly surprised by both the venue and the town centre. Not the shithole I’d remembered back from our FA Cup days of the 80s.

Duran Duran - not really my bag - present for the wife - fuck me, enjoyed it far more than I probably should. Proper, proper band and pro’s. Great cover of White Lines as well.

They released that cover as a single

What a bloody nice bloke Eddie Vedder is.

Might have misread but did Murder Capital support just today or were they on the other days as well?

Saw him do an acoustic set at the Apollo   2012 was brilliant and came across well then .

Don't post much thus thread as I don't really have a clue. But Society by Eddie Vedder made it on my Spotify 👍

My god Pearl Jam are the best fucking band in the world.

London is a seething, sweaty hive of utter fucking bellends though.

Funny, I only bumped into loads of northerners on Friday. And loads of Irish (and a lovely family from Israel) do love a good gig conversation.

Nah we're a friendly bunch, helped a women leave as she was feeling sick and took her to a paramedic, sorted out someone getting to their hotel as they were lost and led a bunch of Yorkshire men to meet their mate in a pub we were going to. Friendly as.

Oh and bought this kid a beer as he was coppering up for a 6 quid can of peroni behind me in the queue for the bar.

Gig good samaritan.

We’re not all friendly

I threatened to shove a blokes push bike up in arse when he tried to barge past us at Marble Arch on the way out.

Who in the fucking world decides to ride a bike through a 70,000 crowd as it leaves a gig? Dick.

I did help some Americans buy some tube tickets today though. I think he was wondering whether he needed to tip me, I should have let him.

Would anyone be interested in 2 Paul Heaton tickets for next Friday at St Helens Rugby Stadium?

Support by the Lathums & Proclaimers

£35 each

Cheers

The Boss coming to UK next summer. Looks like a trip to Vile Park in June.

I love watching legends before they snuff it. Not many under 40's will still be performing in their 60's or 70's.

People like Styles are shit now. Who wants to see that prancing around in a blouse in 40 years time

You've avoided it for the past 40-odd years, so there's every chance now...

Going to see Prodigy at Victoria Warehouse tonight. Anybody know what it's like for parking round there?

Good luck - sounds like a sweaty one

I think it could be!

I've parked on the Lowry and walked across the bridge a few times, there's on street nearby but hard to get and there are some offices who have a hi-viz on charging but limited spaces.

Thanks for that. Was thinking it'd probably be the Lowry.

It doesn't have aircon

It'll be rancid in there.

But, you know, Prodigy. So you have to go.

Be weird without Keith though
