Wiggin Home

Sold out their lower tier allocation.

Upper tier now opened.

This is their cup final.

The scruffy, uneducated cunts.

I've been thinking about how I'd feel about Evatt if he managed a club that already boils my piss. Looks like a bastard, always talks up his side, tells everyone they're the best side in the division

  • My son's first proper match with his mates, and no daft old Dad in tow. He went to the Liverpool game last night. 9 of them all ballooning down the Migglebrook 🙂  The next gen of hoolies. He

  • Thanks, chaps, for the retorts.  Yep, I thought twice about the post but I guess that most of us, whatever our age, wouldn’t want to hear that they would come and push our fans around. Them

Loads of Floaters can get fucked.

Season ticket holders and those who go pretty regularly when they can are the lifeblood of the club not JCLs who come for a cheap ticket or local derby.

💣

I think after Rotherham and Shrewsbury and losing to Sunderland and Wednesday, it’s taken a bit of the shine off but you’d still have thought being a derby we’d have a better turnout than that.

Just shows Rotherham & MK Dons we’re a bigger draw

There’ll be 19k - 20k on for this imo

Genuinely baffled why we want more when we tend to lose all the time.

Stay at home and don’t come please!

3 points is all that’s at stake.

Alas, gonna be driving now, so it'd be wasted on me.

Why the fcuk does anyone believe someone on facebook & people getting dramatic saying its a poor effort. It's only Wigan FFS in League 1 (not much different to playing Tranmere or Bury), I think anything around 19k-20k would be excellent & looking at the ticket sales on the website & with it only being Weds I think that there will be at least 16k home fans

Yes.

Result is the important bit really, not the attendance.

As it happens, the attendances have been excellent this season anyway.

I’ve just paid £30 inc booking fee for this game.

Scandalous pricing for League 1.

You can watch PL football as an away fan for £30 FFS.

It’s no bloody wonder we haven’t sold so many……

Stop moaning you can afford it 😎

Not many seats in lower tiers left and uppers seem to be selling well - around 20000 including non league lot

Exactly, and some are saying its a poor effort - even if it was only 18k - 19k most teams in league 1 could only dream of a crowd like that at £27-£29 a ticket.

Personally I think the fact that we are regularly getting between 14k-16k home fans on a regular basis in league 1 is quite astonishing & something we should be proud of

An interesting point this.

Now the financial discrepancy between the Premier league and the rest is so big, as we've discussed before, the top division could let folk in for next to nothing, and proportionally not lose that much.

Lower down, gate receipts become a much bigger slice of income.

In the end, it's perhaps unsurprising that some top flight tickets can be had for not much more than a lower team's.

There are however, some truly extortionate prices around, especially in London.

You’re not wrong!

Stockport County fan at work told me today it’s £25 a ticket when they play Kings Lynn away this season. £25 for non-league is ridiculous.

£29 a pop in the East and West Uppers. This might be Bolton's record gate receipts for a 3rd Div match

Think that’s a valid point, didn’t realise it was that expensive without a season ticket.

Make it a tenner a ticket every week. But don’t moan if we get battered every week as a consequence.

Shows the excellent value in a season ticket if nothing else.

With the ticket prices & a possible 19k-20k crowd, Roger may not be far off this being BWFC record league 1 gate receipts.
