Just looked at his stats... he's scored 1 in 6 appearances for us which is the average for his entire career so our glorious leader knew what he was getting, don't forget we weren't the "must go to" destination for footballers at the time of signing. Can't knock him for doing what was it says on the tin.

How many of those goals and appearances come in the pizza cup or in his early days with the club?

He's gone right off, and doesn't seem to contribute to how we play, let alone score.

Doyle is less effective in terms of goals this season, but he clearly has a big influence on how we play, and his effort is undeniable.

ND was 1 in 5 at Blackpool, the best 3.5 yrs of his career.

But worked hard. Now he is 1 in 8 and can’t be arsed. Not an easy sell.

Exactly.

I was pleased when he signed. Seems like a worker, scored 1 in 5 and was dropping down a division and in fairness, he did look keen/sharp early on and was probably one of our best players when we were shit. As we improved in the second half of the season, he seemed to go well off the boil and hasn't picked it back up since.

thought Delf did alright last season, definitely played his part getting us up

neither here nor there this season, rarely plays anyway

He became less important as the season went on but thought he looked lean when preseason photos appeared. Had reasonably high hopes he’d work his tits off.

Quite frankly, wouldn’t care if we didn’t see him again. Don’t like writing players off but doubt he’ll contribute much at all in the rest of his career with us.

id love to be proved wrong, I love seeing us win games and want everyone to be a Bolton d’or contender. Just don’t see it happening with Delf now

Think it’s mainly a confidence issue , not being picked & the last option from the bench has probably sucked all the confidence out of him .Evatt doesn’t seem like an arm around the shoulder type & with some players the ‘show me what you can do’ doesn’t always work.Don’t think it’s a ‘can’t be arsed’ issue .During the Doncaster game when he missed a sitter he was punching the ground in frustration even though we were three up.Probably time for him to move on though.

I think you have a point there.

I can see Fonz has lost his football mojo and he would probably admit if pressed he now needs to move on. As you said Evatt doesn't appear to do sympathy with his previous "Man Up" comments.

Even a blunt old bugger like me knows when someone needs an arm around the shoulder, but I have learned how to manage over the years

Evatt knew Delf when he didn't have to motivate him/put an arm around him. They were team mates weren't they?

Delf is a lower league Agbonlahor. Done OK, helped get us up and thanks but toodle pip

I'm sure Evatt will admit himself he's still learning about man management.

Not sure Delf is in need of an arm across his shoulders though. A foot up his arse maybe.

Both born in Birmingham and started at Villa, and style of play not dissimilar, but a bit harsh on Agbonlahor.  He was basically a one club man, 341 games for Villa mainly in Prem.  Fonz the definition of a journeyman footballer, had about 10 clubs and only any good for Blackpool for 3 years.  Good for us at league 2 level as others said, no longer capable above that level.  And he's only 30, shouldn't be far off his peak.

Hartlepool away

Crewe v Rotherham

hartlepool v bolton

Tranmere/Harrogate v Carlisle

oldham v wigan

Probably have some of that

Two remaining u21 teams drawn together in southern Section

The team’s mascot is a monkey so I guess so

Correct. We've improved and unfortunately he's not been dragged along. Also, last season he got more game time and freedom because Doyle was scoring.

That’ll be a cold one for sure. PJTV for me.

We have no game the following Saturday neither, as Cambridge through in FAC.

Hartlepool also through in FAC so they do have a game.

We should play a strong side and win 👍🏼

Surely one for the chosen few though…..

Baltic.

When is it?

Got the badge and still shivering from the 12 o’clock game up there years ago.

Out. We’ll win
