On the topic of goals, the Hatem Ben Arfa goal against us is overrated as fuck. Does a nice cruyff turn, runs in a straight line, no one puts a tackle in and he scores. Woeful defending.

In Autumn 1974 when Jimmy Armfield left to go Leeds we should have approached the bloke he was replacing at Elland Road to take on the Bolton job - Brian Clough. Ian Greaves did a great job and we think the world of him. Cloughie could maybe have done an even better one.

I love a good football rivalry but all mine are local teams. I couldn't give a fuck about Wolves.

The chant "white army" is the most shite, cringeworthy sound to be found in any football ground in England. It gives people from elsewhere the impression that everybody in Bolton is retarded.

I want ALL English clubs in Europe to do well.

I have often said that , but respect to Ian Greaves . I always say " hello Brian" when I pass his statue in Nottingham's speakers corner . 

 

bwfc have the most respectful and friendly set of fans on our away travels  , they show great respect to everyone  wherever we travel too . Locals really look forward to our visits.

Agree with all of these tbh. So here are a couple to rustle some feathers:-

- Chris Eagles was outstanding in his last season with us, and we’d have got nowhere near the playoffs (before Dougie threw Rob Hall in against Blackpool) without his goals/contribution.
- Adam Bogdan in his final season was comfortably the best goalkeeper we’ve had since Jussi, and I wouldn’t have swapped him for any other keeper outside the Prem when he left. 

Bergsson was a typical lightweight Tottenham player who was relegated twice with Bolton and only became a legend in his latter years thanks to Allardyce's managerial genius

If Stuart Holden had played for the land of his birth, Scotland, then not only would his career have been more successful, Bolton fans would have regularly joined the "tartan army" on their travels...

He lived or had a house in Lytham till at least last year.

I know this as I ended up with his petrol lawnmower. He left it behind and my mate fitted plastic grass for the new occupant and it found its way to me

He recently cadged a lift from another motorist when his car broke down in the Peak District.

Tony Kelly isn't a Bolton 'legend' and was average at best.

if I did take this seriously I would say so what if he was a bit part at Tottenham? I saw him play and he helped establish us in the Premier League.  

Hierro is not a club legend he had 4-5 decent games at end of his career. 
Parky did a good job in difficult circumstances and should always get a good reception from the fans

Our fans are as obsessed with Wigan as they are with us and it is embarrassing
