Did travel club for years

It was an affordable option and so long as ding dong got the odd can, ale was allowed

And we arrived round about 12 for a 3pm

Then TR85 upped the game with tables and a toilet

Probably about the time official buses went 'dry' and started arriving 10 minutes before kick off

Always used to take a large bottle of vodka and coke on - never any problem.  Served it’s purpose when we were young and cash was tight.

Think when I first went on travel club they used charterplan coaches

I enjoyed many trips on the travel club. Spending ages on the services was my main bugbear. Stopping at Keele en route to Plymouth for 45 mins really annoyed me

Only ever used the travel club once, PNE away on NYD at 12pm, we knew we'd be hungover and no one wanted to drive

We missed the coach going due to sleeping in

Think i've only ever used it 2-3 times

Walkden coach much easier and cheaper back in the day for me

still thinking about it,with miss fester, £65 for rattler, another shit out of town ground rushing back to station and rail replacement buses,

came back from london last friday to me 24 hours on train with a night chucked in,in hanley fuck me what a place, makes the griffin and balmoral look like the ritz

Winning this

3-2

                       Trafford

        Jones.     Santos.  Johnstone.

Fossey.                MJ.                     John.

                 Dempsey.    Morley

        Charles                      Afolayan

Otherwise known as Ribble Rabble! 🤣 Hargreaves coaches from moor Lane was the posh option.

2-0 defeat. They are a good team and on a good run and will be too strong for us.

Their away form is excellent but they’ve lost to Doncaster & drawn with Gillingham since turn of the year, it’s winnable.

That would be my team.

Dempsey has to come in to add more legs and depth into midfield but I wouldn’t drop MJ for this one.

That leaves one of Afolayan or Bod to miss out - depends how much we think we’ll be going long. I think Bod looked like a player that hasn’t played much and then played 3 games in a week last night, and I just can’t see how having Afolayan on the bench is ever the right thing to do - so I’d start with him and Charles up top.

Baka can count himself harshly treated if he doesn’t start (and Sadlier) but so is the strength of the squad. There are games in a week or 2 where I’d bring them 2 in from the start.

Had a feeling we were going to lose to Burton in my waters and it was so.

My waters tell me we're winning this 100%.

I think we’ll both look to Keep it tight so I think it will be a 3 man midfield. I think Dapo off the bench can change a game more than Bod off the bench, so I think Dapo might miss out.

How great is it to be talking about squad depth rather than xyz will have to go in because we’ve no other option

2-1 to the system cheats after going a goal behind early

I would also go with this team. MK are not a physical team, they like to play football so lets try and hit them with pace.

I have a feeling Evatt will start Baka though for this game

Used to love going on the ribble coaches

Fucking bone shakers, was last resort for me.

I did the travel club for Oxford for ease with the lad,

there were a lot of younger lads on, much to my surprise we hit the 61 and the sound of strongbow cans opening seemed to happen all in one go. They were all on it, all the way down. Felt quite left out with my bottle of Fanta twist.

I’m driving down for MK and staying at the hotel. Otherwise would’ve considered the travel club again, certainly was a better experience than Id anticipated but it’s always better when you won!

They did and more often than not the coaches were from Stockport, so I got a lift back.  However, one evening game away at Birmingham, we got back to Bolton and I asked for a lift back to be told they were going somewhere else.

I had to ring my dad to come over from Stockport to get me - needless to say he wasn’t happy.

And 0-0 v an average Ipswich team, last home game I think.

The last few years in the prem were pretty shit, loads had sacked it off because of poor performances and expense…. Thankfully many of those fans now back onboard.
